Chapter 1

Ziva's POV

"Did you enjoy your first day Ziva?" Gibbs asked me as he sipped his drink from a coffee cup

"Very much sir," I replied as I continued to type up my paperwork

"You did good today. Your paperwork can wait. It's late, go home,"

"Yes sir," I replied. Saving my working and shutting off my computer "and stop calling me sir," I replied with a smile . I grabbed my backpack and made my way towards the elevator. Just as the doors were closing I saw Tony running towards the elevator "Hold the elevator please," I quickly placed my hand between the closing doors forcing them to re-open. "Thank you," he said as he entered the lift. "You really wanted this elevator all to yourself, didn't you?" he said grinning at me. I let out a little chuckle

"Yeah, I did, do you mind taking the stairs?" I replied continuing his joke. He returned it with a laugh

Suddenly, the light above us flickered and the elevator began to shake, then everything went dark "whoa what's happening?" I asked confused

"I don't know. GIBBS! GIBBS!" Tony yelled. I opened my bag and felt around for my torch. I finally found it and then turned it on, illuminating the elevator

"Ziva. Tony are you okay?" Gibbs asked. Tony looked at me and I gave him a nod

"Yeah, we're fine," Tony replied

"Ok. Well I can't get a hold of the electrician until morning. So, you might want to get comfortable," he said. I sighed and took off my jacket, rolling it into a ball to use as a pillow, I lay down on the floor and tony joined me. "Goodnight Ziva,"

"Goodnight Tony,"

My eyes fluttered open as a bright light shone in my face. The air around me was cool but I felt a warm presence behind me and something warm wrapped around me. I slowly turned to notice Tony asleep next to me, with his arm casually lay on my waist. I was about to drift off to sleep again when suddenly, a loud buzzing noise shook the walls of the elevator.

Tony shot up and when he realised where his arm was he quickly removed it. He wiped the sleep from his eyes and fixed his ruffled hair. I got up and did the same as the light flickered back on. I grabbed my jacket and backpack off the floor and waited for the doors to open. A few minutes later the doors opened and Gibbs, McGee and an excited Abbey was there to greet us. After being hugged to death by Abbey Gibbs allowed us to go home because we didn't have a case. Tony and I smiled and instead of taking the elevator we took the stairs.

"So other than the elevator incident. How was your first day?"

"I really enjoyed it,"

"So, you think you'll be sticking around?"

"Definitely," I replied shooting him a smile as I walked to my car. He walked beside me in silence and before I could open my car door he opened it for me "There is no one I'd rather be stuck in an elevator with," he grinned. I had no words instead I smiled and turned away to avoid him seeing the blush on my face

Rule 12: Don't date your co-workers came Gibbs voice suddenly. "Good bye, Tony," I said as I closed my door and drove away.
