The Tarnished was fighting off these people that got into their camp. It had been 7 years since they ran away from their father, but these people were their best hand at practicing. It was like they weren't human anymore. They was dressed in Carian armor wielding dual Scimitars in a frost and flame combo with a Blue Gold Kite Shield and a Academy Glintstone Staff. As they ended up killing the last of the wave, the last one threw scarlet rot at them right before it died, and before they could take off my gauntlet, it burnt through. It was burning their fingers. They couldn't feel their fingers as the rot ate away at their skin. They held the flaming scimitar up to their wrist and...

Their hand fell to the ground rotting away as the scarlet rot and fire devoured it. They passed out due to exhaustion and shock, but the last thing they saw was a tall half wolf running over to them.

-Timeskip-

They woke up in a tower of some place. Probably a rise, like they had seen before. They noticed something was strange. Why could they feel their hand? They cut it off with fire to make sure the rot wouldn't spread out of control. They looked at their left hand. They saw the ends of my fingertips restitching back together, muscle and nerves wrapping the bone, and the layers of skin covering the intricate underworkings "Where am I?" They said as they sat up "Thou art in my quarters. I have kept thee here to keep an eye on your health." They then looked over to where the voice came from. There was a woman with bluish skin, four hands, and white garb like a witch, made complete with a giant white witch hat, with what looked like a ice crown. "Hm... thou art familiar." The witch said. "Likewise, strangely enough.." They started thinking then they remembered "Oh right. At Limgrave. When you gave me the spirit calling bell." Renna then nods. However, the Snow Witch seemed to have remembered them from even before that. Then it hit her.

~Flashback~

Renna was outside of Caria manor. She wasn't bluish though, and only had 2 hands. She was an empyrean. While she hated it, she couldn't do anything about it for now. She'd have to wait. That is until a wolf headed boy came up to her. "Hello there! Name's Blaidd!" Renna smiles, and then says "Hello there Blaidd, I am Ranni." Blaidd smiles "Hey (Y/N)! Get over here!" A child, who was wearing a traveling cloak with the hood up and walks over, removing the hood. They had an eye closed, with the Elden Ring tattooed on the eye lid. They looked beat up, with multiple scars and bruises, and way too many for a child. "Hello. I am (Y/N)." A very tall boy which pretty much towers over the rest shows up "Hello. I am Iji." The rest are astonished at the new boy's height, except for (Y/N). They had met him before in their travels. A woman was at one of the doors of the Manor. She approves of the trio of children that had joined her daughter, but wanted to know what happened to the one with the bruises all over their face.

~Timeskip~

When it came time for to renounce her flesh, Blaidd and Iji when under her servitude as vassals, and (Y/N) was supposed to as well, however they died only 5 months beforehand. It shook the boys, but it shook Ranni the worst, for she had developed a crush on them, the first and only crush she's ever had.

~Flashback end~

And now here she sat. In front of the one she loved. The one she cherished for so long. She had to hold back from embracing them for two main reasons. One, she looked different from before, and they wouldn't realize it was her. Two, the body she had now was falling apart. She knew it was almost time however. Her destiny would resume, and the end of her Two Fingers was nigh.

"Are you sad by any chance? You smell sad." "Pardon?" Ranni was confused. "Oh wait, hang on, that sounded weird. Well, I have a heightened sense of smell. I can even smell emotions. And yours smelt like excitement, sadness, and even a hint of love." They of course knew the feelings very well, having been on both ends of them. They had no idea their childhood friend was thinking these things however.
