The force was still heaving her through the freezing water down to the rocks below. Kai couldn't breathe underwater so she held her breath for as long as she could. But it wasn't long enough...
She suddenly felt a gripping texture against her hips. Someone was pulling her up. Her vision was blurry but she could make out something large and blue. She thrashed her legs and arms in fear she was get suffocated but the creature continued to pull her up with little effort. Kai then blacked out.She breathed in oxygen with relief. Kai tried to open her eyes but they seemed to be glued shut. She tried to speak but her mouth seemed to be pinned close. All she could do was listen and feel. Someone was carrying her. Was it Hali?
"Kai!" Hali sounded alarmed.
Great, it wasn't Hali, some random stranger was with her Kali thought.
"I found her falling to the ocean grounds, but she didn't get a tail!?" The mysterious person told Hali.
Kai was so confused. Tail? she thought.
"Well at least she's alive." Hali said. "Put her on the sand."
At that point, Kai was placed on the sandy surface.
"Now shove off!" Hali ordered.
With that, the mysterious man trudged off.
Kai managed to open her eyes in what seemed like forever. Hali, James and her Mum were all gathered around her.
"Marisa. We have to tell her..." stated James. Kai looked at her mum. They didn't know she was awake. Kai felt a rushed of cold air in her lungs. Only it wasn't air, it was water. She coughed and sputtered until he head was back to the ground.
