"Kai, darling! Stay calm, just breath in and out." cried Marisa.
"Mum. I have to help her! She's got water in her lungs and if she doesn't get it out..." Hali called. Something different formed within Kai's body. She had a shimmery feel to her legs. What was happening? It moved around all over her chest and it made her giggle.
"Oh no, we're too late." mourned Hali. Kai rapidly got to her feet and gulped in the last bit of air she would experience in a long time...The sky grew grey over the hours telling the island that a storm was coming. Hali shook Kai's shoulders briefly before placing his unusual necklace around her neck. An alarmed Kai awoke and screamed in his face.
"Shh... shhhhh. Kai, it's me Hali. You nearly drowned a few hours ago."
"What? Well I remember blacking out." Kai stated. "It was horrible!"
"Mum's err...worried" Hali stammered. "and James."
"C'mon then, I'm not going alone."Kai and her brother arrived in their living room to find Marisa and James sitting on the sofa, ready to talk. "What do you remember?" asked James?
"Some guy was pulling me up but then I saw a... a fish? Something like that, but I thought it was kinda big so I remember trying to escape." Kai answered confidently. Why were they asking her what she remembered? It was weird.
