The class felt like one that lasted forever, your tired eyes had been glued to the clock as your chin rests in your palm, irises lazily trailing the seconds hand.
Your eyelids gradually fell heavy from the lack of sleep you got last night as your teachers voice slowly dimmed out, your mind clearing as your breathing slowed and your tensed shoulders relaxed.
*ring!*
The bell loudly rang, releasing all students and teachers for lunch.
Your eyelids flutter open as you sit up with a notable frown. With little energy and a soft groan, you gather your things to leave the now empty classroom.
"why does it always have to be right when i decide to close my eyes?" your eyebrows furrow as you heave out a sigh.
The crowded hallways began to flood with noisy chatter— some girls gossiping about irrelevant drama while some people whine about upcoming assignments. By the time you got to the end of the hallway your headphones had already found way to your ears as (your favorite song) began to loudly blast, dimming the loud voices of others.
Less than a minute later your cellphone chimes in your pocket. You take hold of the device, curiously clicking on the notification, while at the same time trying to shove past people crowding the hallways.
