*ring!!*The final bell rings, allowing all students to exit their classrooms and head home.
You mentally thank the gods, quickly gathering your things so you can leave and be on your way home. "Oh, and I need to visit with Y/n and Mitsuri once you've gathered your items, so please don't leave yet." the tired teacher continues typing away at his desk as a high pitched voice from the front of the classroom gleams, cheering something along the lines of "Sure thing, Tsugikuni-sensei!"
Shoving your remaining belongings into your bag, you make way to the teacher's desk with a sigh. Upon arrival, you come to find a bubbly girl a few inches shorter than you patiently standing next to the man as he continues working on whatever, her attention directed on the small decorations plastered around his room.
He glances up from the screen and makes eye contact with you, adjusting his posture. "Well, as you know Y/n is our newest student, only arriving about 2 week prior to now." the girl nods, a smile resting on her peachy lips as her eyes scan your tired figure.
"I was wondering if you, Mitsuri, would be okay with filling her in on the important parts of our previous lessons as I don't have the time to do it myself. Basically acting as a tutor." she nods without hesitation, a wider grin spreading across her face as she excitedly shifts her body. "I'm sure you know I'd be more than happy to!" the man smiles, happy that she agreed with such eagerness.
"Good to hear. Now, Y/n, the only reason i'm asking Kanroji to do this is because I simply don't want you to go on without having learned this material. End of the year finals are nothing easy, and you've missed out on some of the important information you'll need to pass them. I don't want any of my students failing my class when they have the opportunity to get help." you let out a thankful sigh and nod. "Thank you Sensei. I appreciate it."
"I'll get you the book and papers you need by Monday so you can start tutoring next week. I'll also be contacting your parents to let them know." he returns to typing away at his computer, which is probably his way of dismissing you.
"Alrighty! I'll see you tomorrow!" she beams, hurrying out the door and sending a short wave before she disappears. An awkward aroma fills the air as you walk out of the room as well, leaving without saying a word.
The hallways get quieter with fewer students to linger around, the dark sky still prominent through the windows lining the corridors. You whip out your phone and do a quick scroll through social media, relieved that the day is finally over— which meant no more socializing for the most part. Only a bit later do you you reach the front doors and remember that it began heavily raining not too long ago.
"Shiiit. You should have picked me up, mom.." you whine, unhappily stepping out into the rain with an umbrella you forgot was in your locker. You stall there for a minute; contemplating on whether or not you should call your mom and ask for a ride or just deal with it. You're finally brought back to your senses when you feel your socks starting to soak from water seeping through your shoes, the cold liquid starting to feel uncomfortable in the tight space. You ultimately decide to just man up and return home as fast as possible, groaning as your legs pull you forward.
The walk home was mostly peaceful, aside from the sound of loud droplets hitting your umbrella. A small piece of you considers the walk home to be a good thing— I guess the rain is peaceful to you in a way. The foggy distance, the soft splash of water when you step into a puddle, the dim sky. It's amiable.
"Hey!! Y/n, was it??" a feminine voice calls out to you from a distance in an exasperated manner. Upon turning around, you're greeted with the familiar bright pink hair pulled into thick, loose braids. The girl energetically waves at you, accompanied by a shorter boy standing to her left. It was a tad bit difficult to tell with the mask covering his face.
"Hey.. Mitsuri, right?" you address her with 10x less the amount of energy she directed at you, but she doesn't seem to mind. "Mhm!Kanroji Mitsuri." you nod, awkwardly standing there. "I knew that your name seemed awfully familiar. You're the person Giyuu added into the group chat, yeah?" she giggles as you eyes widen a tad, remembering that the once anonymous 'meetsoori' had mentioned you two sharing the same class. "Ohhh.. yeah, I remember. If you don't mind me asking, who is this?" you peek over her shoulder, staring at the person playing some sort of game on his phone.
"Right! This is Iguro Obanai, my best friend! He's also in the group chat, kaburamaru4L." she puckers her lips, making a 4 and L with her fingers. He looks up upon hearing his name, meeting your gaze. "Cool. It was nice talking with you two, but i'm freezing and I'm dying for a shower right now. See you tomorrow?" the girl waves as you walk off, the boy nodding to you in a friendly manner. You wave back to them before immediately speeding up your pace and hurrying to the comfort of your home.
The scent of fresh linen filled your senses as you step into your warm house, your clothing unfortunately soaked due to the outside weather. You shove your shoes off in a flash, quickly running upstairs before your younger sister even has the chance to speak to you.
Less than five minutes later you find yourself sighing in relief as the comforting beads of water hit your soft skin. A nice, warm shower was essential after a long, troubling day at school. Aside from the refreshing warmth, it also gives you time to think— you correlate showers with alone time which you desperately needed after being surrounded by people all day. Your mind immediately drifts back to that sweet girl with the gorgeous pink hair, for some reason. Her outgoing attitude really charmed you— which you didn't want to believe. She was also incredibly pretty, so that could have also been what drew you in.
A long portion of your shower consisted of you reflecting back to that girl, while the other part was mostly you jamming out to some of your favorite songs. Once the water started getting cold you decided it was time to step out, lowering the volume of your music so you wouldn't disturb anyone in the house.
The rest of your night was bland. You get out of the shower, brush your teeth, listen to some more music, play a few video games, scroll through the socials, yada yada. As you were in the middle of scrolling through snapchat stories you remembered you hadn't eaten dinner yet, which led to you checking the time on your phone.

"Hey, mom wanted me to tell you that dinner's ready." your younger sister calmly stands on the other side your door, eyes glued to her rose gold tablet as coryxkenshin plays on the screen.
"..." your tensed shoulders relax as you stare at your sister with utter disgust. After a few long seconds her eyes flick up at the uncomfortable silence, her brows furrowing when she sees your facial expression. "What? Stop looking at me like that or i'll tell mom." "Why.." you start, grabbing a random shoe on your floor. "Why the HELL DID YOU BANG ON MY DOOR LIKE THAT, YOU FUCKER!" the smaller girl screams, running down the hall in an attempt to flee your angered state.
She tumbles to the floor as your shoe slams against her back, quickly scrambling to pick up her device before continuing to run away, tears building up in her eyes. "MOMMYYYY!!" she wails as she runs down the stairs, almost tripping in the process.
