The majority of Emi's trip home to Korea was too quick to even consider that she was about to take another career path when they returned to Canada.

Emi and Charles had been to a majority of the Korea tourist spots, street food musts, and were in search of celebrities filming their variety shows, preferably Running Man. This was her mother's favorite show as Eun Ji always thought Min Jun would have been a great addition to the cast, especially for his wit. Emi watched that show religiously every Sunday, giving her some connection to her mom. Charles would watch it with her but needed context to some of the inside jokes and references they made. He enjoyed watching the show with her as it was the few times she smiled and laughed with all her heart.

There were only a few days left before they were to leave and learn more about what Emi would be getting herself into. She had been receiving emails and video calls from Lia and Kai on what to expect when she came. At this point, Lia took on the role of Emi's manager and make up artist. Kai immediately wanted to be her stylist, finally putting his experience to work [hoping for grander events Emi could attend].

"So how's the communication with your team? Weird to think that Lia and Kai are called your team now."

"Surreal. Lia's business and theater degrees and experience are helping everything fall into place. That along with Kai's law and fashion degrees complete the team out even more with the finer visual and legal details that Lia and I tend to miss. I'm grateful they pushed me into that audition."

"So do I get to know the actors you get to work with?"

"You should know that you can't. I don't even know who made it through the actual audition part. I did a screen test with someone we have watched on screen. They did not ask either of us to screen test with one another, from what I know."

"Oh shit, have we? If the pilot goes through, then I will be at that watch party with you."

"Well, I'll be sure to have my people call your people."

"Wonderful. Wonderful. You already sound like you're ready for the limelight." They both laughed at that notion. Who was truly ready for the limelight?

"Em, are you sure you don't want to come to dinner. I know my old friends would love to meet you."

Emi shook her head, "C, go hang out with the guys. I got into a class with Lia Kim and I gotta take it. I want to learn more from her or least from her team, if she even teaches the class tonight. You haven't seen these friends for years. Just call me if you need me, since you might forget your Korean after drinking."

"Hey, if anything, I will be done before you even get out of that class. Give me the address of the dance studio. I'm not having you walk alone to come and get me."

"Okay, this conversation is not going to go anywhere. How about this? Where are you guys meeting?" Emi took out her phone and compared the two locations. "Okay, we meet here. Well lit and we can grab some snacks and just eat near the Han River. My mom and I used to do this when I was younger."

Charles loved that plan. A majority of this trip he wanted to recreate some memories that Emi had with Auntie Eun Ji. Most of them had them sitting in front of open spaces and snacks involved. The one he enjoyed the most was going to Gapa Island and taking a long bike ride to this small restaurant that sold some of the best [in Emi's opinion] jjajangmyeon and jjampong, which had the freshest seafood. They sent a picture to Auntie Suk Yong, showing their messy faces from the black bean noodles and empty bowls. Emi also begged Charles to share some barley ice cream before heading the ferry. Another picture to Auntie Suk Yong of the two of them sharing a treat with one another.
