I sobbed, holding my knees close to my chest, leaning against the tree in the garden. Crickets chirped from unknown places. Owls hooted from the trees. The garden looked very pretty at night, warm yellow fairy lights surrounding the entire garden.

Tomorrow will be my execution. I'm honestly glad that I get to go where my parents had gone but... I'm really worried about our kingdom. Will it win? What will happen to the Enderprince?

Thinking about the Enderprince made me more upset for some reason. Had I grown feelings for him? No! I couldn't have. And even if I had, he'll never accept me. I'm from his opponent kingdom. Plus, I'll be gone tomorrow. I tilted my head, resting it above my knees. That's when I heard a Pssst sound.

I stood up, "W-Who's there?" I looked around the garden, at the trees, at the hallways and balconies. Nothing. Then, I heard something hit the ground. I turned around to face a tall black figure. I fell on the ground, gasping. "Hey, It's okay, It's just me," A familiar voice said, pulling down the black clothing to reveal his black and white face.

"Prince Ranboo?" I frown. "Shhhh," He hushed, reaching out for my hand. I grabbed it and he pulled me up into a giant hug. I closed my eyes, safe in his arms, as I hugged him back. I felt comfortable in his arms. "We better get going before anyone spots us," Prince Ranboo said, a few moments later. I let go and looked into his eyes, "Where are we going?"

"I'm taking you to my kingdom," He replies. "But Prince Ranboo-" He glared, "S-Sorry, Ranboo, you can't use me to tell you secrets about our kingdom in the war," I say, putting my hands on my hips. "I won't ask you those questions. I just-" He looked down, "I just wanna protect you from the execution, I don't want you to go away," His words made me blush. He blushed as well.

"Let's go," He said as he pulled me into his arms and with a flash, we were somewhere else. Outside the castle walls, on the other side of the far wall of the garden. Ranboo pulled me as we zoomed through the sleeping village.

As we reached the exit as well as the entrance to the kingdom, I looked back at it. The kingdom looked peaceful. It was dark but the warm yellow fairy lights along the streets lightened the entire kingdom. Tears pricked my eyes, "Are we leaving forever?" I looked at Ranboo as his multicoloured eyes stared at me. He sighed. I looked down, understanding.

He squeezed my hand tightly but it didn't hurt. I quite enjoyed it. I looked at my kingdom one last time when we walked out of the boundary. I pause at the sight of silhouettes of the dense forest. I have never been outside the kingdom walls. Ranboo dragged me in as everything went black. I thought it was just my eyes when I realised something was glowing. Ranboo's eyes. That's how dark the forest is.

The light from his eyes were bright enough to guide ourselves through the forest.
