The senators filed into the dimly-lit conference hall, taking their seats around a U-shaped table. A short woman with platinum-blonde hair tied into a small bun stepped into view from behind the dark corners of the room. She nonchalantly dusted off her white striped blouse, bending down to do the same to her beige pencil skirt. The senators had all eyes on her; some looking with anxiety, others with great confidence they'd leave as the victor of this meeting. She stood up, carrying a manilla folder packed with papers. She looked around the room with her deadpan, pale blue eyes before filtering her smug smirk with a small, polite smile. "It seems I've gathered everyone's attention. Very good. Now, we can begin this session. I am Aria Monamos and I will be your moderator. I assume everyone's secretary has already briefed them on the topic of today's session, but if I will not I will repeat it." She walked over to the projector at the end of the table, her heels clicking on the black tile floor. She unscrewed the lens cap on the glass bulb, letting the images show up on the projector screen. Senators gasped in awe and fear of the pictures shown as she strode back to the front of the room. She gestured to the pictures, describing them. "These are the monsters that have been appearing all over our cities. Their origin is unknown, and they are extremely powerful. They range in between the size of an SUV and the size of a two-story house, or between 2 and 11 meters. They seem to be resistant to explosives and projectiles, as their skin is armored. I've displayed the variety of beasts through these four photos. As you can tell, we've naturally observed them in red, green, blue, and white hues. Their colors seem to correspond with their supernatural abilities and resistance. For example, these blue-colored monsters have water-based attacks. Firearms and explosives work quite effectively against these ones, but only enough to weaken them. Vice versa for the red-colored monsters. Red corresponds with fire abilities, and green and white correspond with earth and wind. We haven't observed anything that could be used against the wind monsters, though. You've all been gathered here today to decide what should be done about these things." Aria nodded her head as she concluded the briefing and walked over to turn off the projector. "Since Ms. DeMontrez's proposition was unanimously agreed upon, she will be the first to propose a solution." She explained from the back of the room, stepping back once again. Vivian stood up, adjusting her glasses. "As you've all already been told, military power does minimal damage towards these beasts. I have it on good reason to assume they are linked to the emergence of these child anomalies. Though, in order for you to understand what I'm about to propose, you'll need to pass another proposal of mine. I apologize for the inconvenience, Aria."  Aria glared before giving a huff of acknowledgment. "Now, in order to understand, you'll need to know the information we gathered off of the children at the studying centers. They also have elementally-rooted powers, the same as these monsters. If we were able to hone these children's abilities—" Another senator shot up in his seat, slamming his coffee mug onto the table. "Bullshit!" He interrupted, shouting. "I didn't agree to this part of the deal, Vivian!" He hissed through clenched teeth. Vivian stumbled back, in dismay at his outburst. She regained her composure, giving the man a saccharine smile. "I'm sorry you feel that way Steven, but do you have this aforementioned deal in writing?" She questioned, sickeningly sweetly. Shocked of his own being bested, he hesitantly sat back in his seat, mouth still agape as he contemplated what he had agreed to. Vivian sighed. "So many interruptions." She whined teasingly as she refocused on the task at hand. "I'll drop the formalities and get to the point." She started, slamming her fists on the table as she leaned forward, looking at the other senators. "What I'm about to propose would address these creatures, lower artillery costs, and kill two birds with one stone. Are you ready to listen?"
