(I'm sorry. But I love this video. Enjoy!! And the video has nothing to do with the chapter.... or does it.. p.s. I'm the rats in the pub and my friends are the lizard (I forgot his name.) they all look at me like I'm a freak. Haha. But we are all friends anyways. *Starts singing really badly* We are all misfits living in a world on fire!! Haha.. No? anyone? Okay then. Just enjoy the chapter!!)
Trance's P.O.V
"That's why I want to show you my secret identity."
I can't believe I'm doing this. I wish I could take off his mask too. But right now, I trust him, and I want him to know that. I lift my hand up to my mask and hesitate slightly as I grab the tip. I close my eyes and take a deep breath.
"Trance. Don't- Agh!!" I stop what I'm doing immediately and focus on Robin. His hand is clutching his left side, which was facing me. I carefully remove his hand and see that he is.... Bleeding?!
I move his arms out of the way. His right ling on his right side and his left draped over his chest . I mumble a quick spell, enabling him to move from the neck down. Now that he was paralysed, I could get a closer look.
Robin moves his head to look at me as i move in closer, on bent knees, to get a closer look.
"W-What have you-" I silence him as I slightly touch the bleeding area.
"Shush, I'm helping" I feel something sharp sticking out from his side, it definitely wasn't bone.
I gasp and turn away, feeling like I was going to hurl. A large shard of jagged glass was embedded deep into his skin, right between his ribcage and hip bone. Using the limited information about the body that I had picked up at school, and from fixing up Jade every now and then, I knew that it hadn't hit any major parts of the body. Thankfully, just a few layers of skin. Okay, maybe a lot more than I hope.
"Is.... Is it bad?" Robin asked with a wince. I'm pretty sure he already knew the answer.
"It's um.... ah...... Well," I sigh, giving up on my attempt to sugar coat it. "The glass has gone in deep, I'm pretty sure it hasn't hit anything, but I'm gonna have to remove it...."
I grab the protruding part of the shard and gave it a tug. Robin grunted as more tears slid from his eyes. well there goes that option. I thought for a moment. Then I realised something.
"Tcartxe eht drahs!!!!" I yell. Still nothing. Robin just cries out more as the spell continues to try to pull the shard out. I quickly stop the spell, I don't want to hurt him anymore that I have to.
Great. There is only one way I'm gonna be able to get this shard out. I take a deep breath and grab my pocket knife that the joker gave me.
"Im sorry." I mumble as I steady myself.
I placed my knife where the gash finished and cut. Robin screamed, but quickly muffled it, as I made the cut long enough to fit the shard out. I started the extraction spell again.
It came out quick and easy this time, only a few grunts from Robin as it finally came out and fell to the floor. He has tears rolling down the side of his face. You can tell that he was trying to hold it in. I feel horrible.
"There," I sigh, "It's out. Now I just have to heal you." I get my pocket knife ready again and hold it between myself and Robin, examining it and the way Robin's blood has already started to dry.
"This time, what I'm doing isn't going to hurt you," I tell him as I hold the blade closer to my face. "It's going to hurt me."
To be able to perform a healing ritual, the healer has to spill their own blood.
