We spent countless hours and hours of finding out the cause of Michel's death, but no evidence was gathered,

"Celeste was right, no evidence was gathered anyway." Nina said, but I had an idea,

"Wait! Ruby told us that we had to find a person... but who?" I asked,

"I'm not sure-"

POOF! Ruby has reappeared.

"Hello ladies, find anything yet?"

"No. Nobody cares now since it's been a year since he has passed..." I stated,

"Ah, I see. Well, I suggest try finding a person he was really attached to. Or maybe someone he has hated?"

"Attached to? Me? I didn't kill him! No way."

"I'm just suggesting, as I stated before. You and Nina both didn't do it, so that's a little clue I will give out." Ruby licked her paws,

"But... can you AT LEAST tell us what happened to him? Please..."

"Alright, I'll give you ONE clue. He got injured, that's all I will give you. Happy searching girls!"

"WAIT-"

Then she disappeared again.

"Injured...that seems odd." Nina said as we were both walking,

"Yeah...I mean, he seemed completely fine before he died. How can he just possibly die with an injury? Hospitals exist, y'know?" I complained,

"True. Maybe someone brutally punched him or something...but I don't know. We both don't know." Nina shrugged as we headed back to my penthouse.

•••

We were in my bedroom, looking out on my balcony as the orange sky started to set. The sky was orange for the past couple of days, and it was exactly like last year's Christmas. I remember last Christmas, a building was being burnt. I don't know where, but it seemed like a hospital got burned down a year ago. Exactly on Christmas Day... hm.

"Hey Nina, do you remember last year when a hospital got burned down on Christmas?"

"Yeah, why?" Nina asked,

"Well, I have a feeling something was related to Michel, but I'm not entirely sure."

"Why would he go to a hospital?"

"I don't know. I'm just saying. Possibly because of the injury? But that serious that he died..." I relaxed back on my chair as I watched the orange sky. The wind was blowing on our faces, just like last year. Nina stayed over my house for the day, so we woke up and I noticed the sky was still orange. Strange.

DING DONG!

The doorbell rang. My parents were on vacation because it's my moms' parents anniversary. I decided to open it and it was Celeste.

"Hey girls!"

"Hi Celeste, got any information about Michel?" Nina asked,

"No, why?" Celeste was hiding an orange folder,

"You're hiding something from us. What is that?" I asked as I peaked over Celeste,

"Alright, fine, I found some photo evidence about Michel. Some person took photos of Michel's... um... dead body. It's pretty brutal and disturbing." Celeste croaked,

"OH, give me it!" I took the folder away from Celeste as I ripped open the orange folder. All the pictures scattered on the ground as I saw Michel's deceased body. He was in a pool of blood, all dirty, all beat up..

"I'm sorry that I did not tell you girls—but he had blunt force trauma. I believe someone killed him, but I don't know who-"

"WHAT? HOW DID YOU KNOW THIS? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US???" I started to shout at Celeste,

"I was just.... too sensitive about this topic."

"I thought you said you didn't care since it happened a year ago?"

"The pictures are upsetting. That's why I never talk about that." Celeste was about to cry. We were all trying to comfort her, but she grabbed the folder with the photos of Michel,

"WAIT! We need to hand these in to the police-"

"No. Case is closed." Celeste stormed out of the door.

"What the fuck? That was so weird." Nina said,

"I know? Why did she refuse to turn it in to the police..." I asked to myself, Nina just shrugged. Something is odd about Celeste... doesn't care about Michel's death, doesn't wanna turn the evidence to the police. She may be the prettiest girl, but she definitely is the smartest. She definitely has some sort of plan.
