Every day is donut day

I wiped my tears they was staining my face from where piglet was missing and they were going through all his memories. I closed my laptop not bothering taking the cd out and place it on my bed side table.

There is a big clasp of thunder and soon followed by a strike of lightning. Thus waking up Diane.

I look over to her and see that her eyes are starting to water. Man she is so scared of lightning. Poor girl.

She let's out a sob and cuddles by my side. She is now bawling her eyes out and wetting my shirt with her tears.

"Come here" i say and she snuggle into my arms.

"I'm scared" she cries breaking my heart. I hate it when she cries.

"Don't be" I looked at her and she faced me. "You see this necklace on your neck" I took the small gold locket in my hand.

"Yeah" she said will her voice cracking.

"That necklace will protect you" I said to her trying to make her feel better.

"How?" She questioned.

"Because daddy gave you that necklace." I opened up the locket to show her the picture of my dad and my mums stomach while she was pregnant with Diane.

On the side of the locket it had these words engraved. 'For my beautiful daughter I never got the chance to meet'.

"How does it work?" She asked I could see that she was feeling much better.

"Well it shows that daddy loved you very, very much and he would want you to be safe"

She took her necklace off of her and placed around my neck.

"What you did that for?" I asked curiously.

"I may not of met him but I know that he would of wanted you to be safe too" she said. I'm about to cry. My nose tingled and my eyes started to hurt.

I could feel my eyes watering so I tried to blink them away which was a bad idea seeming that more just started to come and race down my cheeks.

I took the necklace off and put it in her hand. I gave a massive hug and i couldn't stop myself from crying.

"Why are you giving it back to me?" Curiosity tracing through her voice.

"Because this is a gift from daddy to you and I want you to keep it safe as possible." She looked at me in wonder.

"Please keep it safe I want you to keep this memory" I added. She gave me a massive hug then walked out of my room.

Man what is up with all the emotions lately. I laid on my bed and I could hear Rosalind car driving through. I walked over to my vanity thing and freshened up my makeup. I looked in my mirror to take one last look at myself then walked down out of my room.

As I walked down stairs I put on my best smile. 2 days with my sister and her lovey dovey fiancé that makes me sick to the bone.

Not that I don't like him. he's very nice and he helps me out with the stuff like fixing things and building things. There the perfect couple. I guess it just... I don't know.

I reached down to the bottom of the stairs to see Rosalind and Jason talking to mum at the kitchen table.

Rose looked up at me and gave me a smile then began talking to mum again.

"Mhm what is that pleasant smell" I said as I stood next to mum on the kitchen counter.

"Well seaming as it's a rainy weather, Jace and I thought that it is a donut day!" She exclaimed.

"Everyday is donut day" I said in return.

"Do you want the damn donuts or not" she protested.

"Yeah I do-" I said but getting cut off by her shoving the donut in my mouth.

"Thank you" I said my voice getting muffled by the donut in my mouth. She just gave me a simple nod.

I quickly finished my donut then my mind started to drift off.

Mmm that donut was good. All I eat for lunch was some popcorn in between the two movies because we decided to watch both.

Man I wonder what mum has got for dinner.

I walked into the rumpus room and saw Lise with her nose stuck in between a book called 'the metaphysical club' that's probably the only thing that we have in common. books.

We are both quite intelligent if I do say so myself but she is much smarter than me. But books, that was a different subject. Books is escaping reality. After my father's death the local library was our home away from home. It would just freeze time and we could just forget the world.

I sat on the couch next to her and picked up a magazine on the coffee table then, began to read.

I opened it up to a random page. I quickly slimed through the first paragraph then getting bored of hearing about North West.

Rose walked in and sat in the love seat across from me.

"Oh Rose um I have a date tomorrow do you mind babysitting Diane?"

"Defiantly, what's the guys name who or going with"

"That's the thing I don't know who I'm going with." I honestly said. Rose gave a puzzled look.

"What she means is it's a blind date that was set up from one of her friends" Lise butted in.

"Yeah" I agreed but mentally slapped myself for my lack of words.

"Okay, do you want me to drop you off." She said seeming unbelieved my our lie we just told.

"Thank you that would be lovely" I said then went back to my room.

I went to my bookshelf and picked out 'the great Gatsby' I really quite enjoy it.

I read for almost four hours then realised I was being called for dinner.

I went down stairs and saw everyone at the dinning room table wait king for me to join. We said Grace then I dug in to my lasagne and salad.

"So mum when do we leave?" I questioned after I finished my mouthful of salad.

"Well in a month I already have the house and we are selling this house!" She said overly exited by the whole thing.

"What!" Lise and I yelled.

"So you just thought about telling us now!" I shouted back.

"Mum, we do have lives you know?" It was Lise's turn this time.

"Yeah but I thought it would be fun" mum defended.

"Fun?!" Lise and I questioned.

"You thought this would be fun?" I yelled. I heard Diane start to cry but I need to ignore it.  "Is this some game to you. We grew up in this house and you thought it would be fun?!"

"This is so inconsiderate of you" Lise said. Mum looked hurt by our outburst but she can just tell us a month before.

"Guys, just calm down!" Rose said.

"Calm down?!" Lise questioned.

"You have already moved out! You have already got your life planed ahead of you! You are living this perfect life when Lise and me are just starting ours so don't tell us to calm down when people are taking that away from us!" I yelled.

"You know what?! Forget this" Lise said and we left the room.

We walked out the door and started to walk the path way.
