I could see the face of the boy with the muddy blonde hair that I despised from this morning. He just looked at me and a smirk grew on his face.
He walked over to us and I just glared at him.
"How you going love" he still had that smug look on his face.
"Hi! I'm Diana but people call me Diane or Anna. This is my sister Tesla and I'm four!" she said holding 3 fingers up. He have a confused look so I mouthed four and put four fingers up.
"Well nice to meet you Diane, I'm Isaac." he gave a smile.
"Your a shoe" she said truthfully.
He gave another confused face.
"But I'll call you Isaac." Diana said. She's a very strange child.
"Okay were are you heading off to love?" He asked.
"Were going to the park with the swing and the toys r us and flying fox and the big round circle thing that goes whoosh" she got up off the chair and spun around.
"Okay Diane how about we sit back on the chair." I said so she wouldn't get in trouble off the bus driver.
"Riverton park" I say in translate for him.
"What happened to your arm?" He questioned.
"She fell out a tree" Diane said.
"What is an elderly woman like you doing in a tree?" He joked.
"Unearthly sloth" I replied back.
"Yeah unearthly sloth" Diane copied. "Hey that's mean to sloths and I like sloths." She added. My smile grew wider from what she said.
"Riverton not that far away from my house how about I go with you" he said.
"How about no" I exclaimed.
"Please, Tesla, please" she pleaded. Her face is just so innocent.
"Okay" I said in surrender.
"Thank you Tesla, by the way do you have chocolate with you" she asked.
I searched through my bag and pulled out a whole chocolate block and gave her four pieces.
"Thank you Tesla" she said and stuffed her face with the chocolates.
I handed her a tissue to wipe her face. I broke off a bit of chocolate and put it on a tissue.
"Would you like some?" I offered.
"Yes please" he said cheerfully and broke off about four pieces. I didn't feel like being mean to him because Diane was around so I don't want to say anything i will regret.
I pickup up my chocolate broke off a piece and put it in my mouth.
"I love chocolate" she held her hand out for more. I gave her to part I didn't eat of mine.
"You can have more a bit later" I smiled and she nodes her head.
"Ah this is our stop" Isaac said and got up. I put the rest of the chocolate in my bag.
I slung my bag over my shoulder and held Diane's hand who was already out of the seat.
I walked down the bus hall and said thank you to the bus driver.
"Tesla can you carry me?" Diane asked.
"Sorry sunflower, but I can't my arm is broken, remember." I apologised.
"Here I'll carry you" Isaac said. She looked hesitant at first but then quickly nodded.
"Thank your" I said in return.
"No worries" he said cheerfully. "Here it's this way" he pointed to across the road.
"Okay let's go" I say and Diane laugh.
We walk across the road and Isaac puts Diane down and she runs towards the play set.
We start to walk towards her.
We get to a bench and sat down on it. It's really silent and awkward.
"Tesla I'm sorry about today, I can be a jerk sometimes."
"Don't be sorry I overreacted" of course he's a jerk but I don't want an argument in front of Diane so I just go along with it. Plus I think she has a crush on him.
"Well where were you going on the bus" I ask breaking the silence. "Not trying to sound stalkerish" I added.
"Well, I was just gonna go around to the shops and just look around" he replied back he gave me a smile.
"Tesla!" Diane yelled.
"What?" I panicked.
"I'm hungry" she ran over to us. "Can we get something to eat?"
"I'll give you some more chocolate but not too much because we'll have dinner soon." I said grabbing the block of chocolate. I broke off a piece and gave it to her and she sat in between Isaac and I.
"Tesla can you please read the book to me?" Diane asked.
"Okay, sure, sure how about it" her smile grew wider and she looked In my bag for the book. She took the book out and turned into the front of the book.
"T-h-th-is b-b-book b-e-e-el-lon-gs to j-a-ck-s-sonn Reed" she's sounded out. "Was that daddy?"
"Yeah, this used to be daddies, he always used to read it to me" I say feeling sad but not trying to show it.
"What was daddy like?" I saw Isaac expression change as soon as she said that.
"Daddy was amazing, he was just so awesome, that when ever someone was sad as soon as he came near them they would be happier even when that person would be very ill and not even chocolates would make them feel better" she gasped at my statement.
"He sounds like an amazing father" Isaac piped up.
"He was" I agreed.
I opened the book and started to read it's only the first part of the series. So it only took me an hour. I turned to see Diane and tell her that we need to go home now but she was fast asleep on Isaac's shoulder.
'Sorry' I mouthed to Isaac.
"No worries" he whispered and he gently picked up Diane.
"My house isn't soo far away maybe 2 streets away do you want me to drop you guys home?"
"Umm" I looked over at Diane. She looks so peaceful the bus would just be to loud. "Thank you, that would be nice."
"Okay, it's this way" he pointed along the sidewalk.
"Honestly, you sure you want to take us home, it is a long way" I said checking on him if he was okay with it.
"Honestly, it's no problem" He reassured me. I just gave a simple nod it took us about 10 minutes to walk to his house. His house is beautiful it's a light grey and it's very big like his house is like a mansion.
"this is my car" he said pointing to it a green car I'm not good with car names so I'm going to call it a SUV because I don't know any other car brand.
He opened the back door and put Diane in the back seat and buckled her seatbelt. I walked up to the front passengers seat door and reached out for the car handle.
"Here, let me" he opened the door for me.
"Thank you" I replied back.
He started up the cat engine and Diane started to stir a bit. I snapped my neck to the back to makes sure she was okay.
