17 and pregnant

Chapter 8

As we got into the hospital, I sat down and Hunter checked me in.

It smelled like a mix of a nursing home and hand sanitizer. I mean, it isn't a smell that I love, but its comforting.

He looked around to find where I went to sit, and when he saw me, his face lit up. He honestly looks happy. I am so thankful that he is my boyfriend, and my child's father.

He came and sat next to me.

"Did the women at the desk say anything?"

"She just said that the lady should be out soon." He paused and smiled. "I am excited to see her, well I mean, it.. Ugh, the baby! I'm sorry..."  He looked at me, like he had just said something rude.

I laughed. "Babe, it's okay! Do not feel bad. It is fine." I smiled.

"Alright.. I am just so excited for this baby to come. Even though it has only been about a week or so since we found out. I am so happy that we are going to have a little family. You are going to be an amazing mom"

"Thank you, it really means more to me than-"

The nurse came out and said my name, interrupting me.

"Aria Lancaster?"                                                                                                                                              

"Here" I got up and grabbed Hunters hand.

While we were walking to the room, I saw this older couple. The woman was in a wheel chair, sitting next to her husband (which I assume they are married). He leaned over to her and they kissed. I couldn't help but smile.

When we got to the room, the lady gestured for Hunter and I to sit down. I sat closest to the nurse and she started asking me some questions.

"So, how are you guys?"

Hunter and I both said "Great!" at the same time. We smiled at each other.

"So, I am guessing you two are a couple?

"Yes." Hunter said, before I could even answer.

The nurse smiled. "You two look very happy together. But anyways, how are you feeling?

"I am feeling very well, I am a bit sick in the morning sometimes, but other than that, yeah. I am great." Hunter grabbed my hand, he held it firmly.

"That's great! You seem very healthy. I am going to go get Doctor Jacob, then we will begin your ultra sound!" The nurse stood up and left the room.

Hunter looked at me. "I am so damn excited to see, the baby"

I smiled. "Me too"

We kissed..

The doctor came in. Hunter and I stood up.

"Hello, Aria and..." He paused

"Hunter"

"Nice to meet you both, I will be your OBGYN."

"Awesome" Hunter said, smiling.

"Alright Aria, Let's get to it!"

I walked over to the bed thing, and I laid down.

"Can you pull up your shirt for me?" The doctor said, in a weird way. I think he was nervous about saying that in front of Hunter. Hunter just laughed a little. I pulled up my shirt and the nurse put cold jelly stuff on my stomach. While she was, she was staring at my scars. I got really nervous..

"So... Do I get to take pictures home today?"

The nurse answered  "Yes! This is a very important day! Of course you can!"

Hunters smiled really big, so did I.

The doctor started moving the scanner around on my stomach.

The doctor looked nervous.. "Uhm, I am not seeing the fetus right now."
