17 and pregnant

Chapter 2

The doctor looked at me , then at Hunter, then back to me.

"Are you and Hunter a couple?" the doctor said pausing after hunters name,then going on with his sentence.

"Yeah. We have been for 3 years in 2 weeks." Hunter said, in a kind of confused tone.

The doctor just kept looking at us. After about 30 seconds , he said

"Are you two involved, sexually?"

Me and Hunter looked at each other with a surprised look on our faces.

My coughing broke the silence In the room.

Hunter finally spoke up and said "yes."

 I mean it was only the first time a couple months ago. We used a condom. This isn't possible.

The doctor reached in his pocket and grabbed the little box. I knew it, it's a pregnancy test.

"Aria, you need to take this test"

"I don't need too , I'm not pregnant. we used a condom.It has to be something else"

"I'm afraid not, your sickness is morning sickness, and your "bloating" is your baby bump."

Oh my gosh. He's right.

How am I supposed to have a baby? I can't!

The doctor have me the box and walked me towards the bathroom. I looked behind me, but Hunter wasn't there. It's as much my fault as it is his. I really hope he's not mad at me.

He put his arm out in the direction if the bathroom. I walked towards it, with the box in my hand, scared out of my mind. As I got in the bathroom I quickly , but quietly , I shut the door behind me and opened the box.

This is it.

This is the moment that's going to change my life forever.

I went to the toilet and peed on the stick. I thought it would be more complicated than this.. When I was done, I sat the test on the sink and waited for the results. It felt like forever.

There was knocking at the door.

"Someone's in here!" I said teary eyed.

"Aria, It's Hunter, let me in."

So I of course let him in. He gave me a big hug. It was comforting.

"Aria,no matter what happens , I will ALWAYS love you. We will get through this together."

"I am so scared"

"You and me both! What did it say ?"

"I never looked at it"

Hunter walked over and picked it up. looked at it ,then up at me ,with wide eyes and a little smile.

"Aria, We are having a baby!"

I busted out in tears. I was happy. But then again I was really worried. What is my family going to say ?! What is his family going to say?! He walked towards me and have me a big hug.. He was crying too! He grabbed my hand and opened the door. The doctor was standing there with a questioned look on his face.

Hunter wiped the tears off my face and said

"She's pregnant"

The doctor looked at us and said

"Congratulations, do you two want to take the actual 100% test ?"

"No, that's okay."

"Well, we will set you up an appointment for an ultrasound to see how far along you are, but my guess is around 4 weeks. So ,if I'm right you would have around 36 more weeks left"

"Okay" hunter said , sounding excited.

Well. You guys can go home and I will call you two within a week with the appointment plans.

In the car we just talked about baby names.

When I got home we sat in the car in complete silence. Then we finally went In my house. My parents were sitting in the living room , drinking coffee.

Hunter and I sat across from them. they saw the scared look in my face and my mom looked at me and raised her eyebrows and said

"Hunny,whats wrong ?"

"Mom, I'm pregnant."
