It wasn't it hard to get to Mr Smith's, there's just a lot of left turns. My favorite. Boo! I hate left turns. They always confuse me about when to go.
Do I take the risk? Do I not? Such a gamble. I hate it. A lot of people don't have a hard time with left turns but, I do. And let's just say I barely passed with my license anyways. Let's not push it. Sometimes I get people all get mad because I didn't go when I should've. But it's hard to predict, especially when you haven't been driving that long.
I arrived at Mr Smith's. He was coming out of the house with his wife hurrying into the car like they wanted to avoid me. What's going on I called. Mr smith yelled back she's having her baby! I jumped at the word baby. It kinda freaked me out now. Now I'm thinking about it, realizing that one its growing in me. Who knows how long I've been pregnant... Then, something occurred to me. I never exactly told Jacob about the test. Should I? No! I can't tell anybody! Nobody will notice anyways. Why bother?
I backed out of the driveway so that they could get their car out from the garage. Mrs. Smith was worried. She was actually crying. Almost Balling.
I guided them to the nearest hospital. I was kinda like those police that drive in front of and behind famous people. I honked my horn.
"GET OUTTA THE WAY!!! SORRY EXCUSE ME! MOVE!"
I only knew where the nearest hospital was because of my mom. When she got hit by the drunk driver, we drove her here where she later passed away.
All the people were honking their horns and screaming: "Watch where your going kid!" But I just ignored it. It dIdn't bother me. At least, not really.
When we got to the hospital, we went into the emergency room. Mr. Smith was pacing frantically back and forth. Running his hands through his hair. Which by the way, was really sweaty.Yuck!
The nurse opened the door.
"Mr Smith I presume?" The nurse asked
"Yes, thats me. And this is my daughter Ashley."
I was surprised when Mr Smith said I was his daughter. alright! Now I have a good dad.
The nurse welcomed us into the room that Katie/Mrs. Smith was in. I walked in first. Mr. Smith insisted. She was holding a blue blanket with a baby in it.
"It's a boy." Katie said.
"Awwee" I couldn't help but 'awe' the baby was so cute. Mr. Smith walked in.
"It's a boy!" He yelled. Im guessing he was shocked. He probably thought it was a girl.
"Katie are you alright? "He asked after his little dance he did.
"Yes, John. I'm fine."
John. I thought. His name is John?I must have forgotten his name in all the excitement.
"Well,"I said."what are you going to name him?"I could tell they though about a lot of names.they looked at each other.
"Daniel." They both said together.
Daniel. I thought. That's a cute name.
The nurse asked politely if Mr. Smith and I would leave for a moment. We walked out of the room, and Mr. Smith was so excited he might pee his pants. But then again, he has had tried 2 or 3 times before to have a child. All miscarriages. When we decided to eat at the hospital, I remembered why I went to their house in the first place.
"Hey uhhh, Mr. Smith?"
"Yes Ashley?"
"Can I tell you somthing?"
"Sure."
"Ummm...."I hesitated. I have to tell him, I thought. NO the debate kept going on and on. I came back to earth.
"....Ashley...Ashley. What's wrong?"
"Oh sorry."I said.
"It's fine. What's wrong? What did you want to tell me? "
"Oh."I said shivering.
"Umm I wanted to tell you that....ummm...."my voice trailed off.
"What Ashley, you can tell me anything."
I breathed in deeply. Remembering to whisper the news.
"I'm pregnant."I said very very quietly.
"ASHLEY!?! Are you serious? "
I looked down.
"Yeah."I said.
His face was in disbelief.
