"I dont know"

"Want some frozen yogurt from the freezer?"

"Sure."

We ate our frozen yogurt.  I got my plain old favorite. Chocolate.

"This tastes great!" Mia said.I laughed. Of course it tastes good. This is rated 'the best fro-yo in the USA.' Its probably a lie but it doesn't matter anyways.

We finished our yogurt, and went back to my room. I yelled at my dad from the top of the stairs:

" hey dad is it ok if Mia comes over for a sleepover. Please."

" I guess that's alright, what time does her mom want her home in the morning?"

" I don't know we haven't called her mom yet, but I just wanted to check with you first."

" okay yeah that's fine with me if her mom says yes. And don't you dare sneak her over here when her mother says no okay?"

" okay I love you."

"Yeah whatever."

He walked into the garage.  I don't know what his problem is. maybe its because when my mom--- speaking of my mom, I have to go visit her grave on Sunday. That would have been her 36th birthday.

Mia called her mom.

" hey mama it's me, I was wondering if I could go sleep over at Ashleys. Her dad said its fine."

"I would prefer if you slept over here honey."

She looked at me. She asked me if I wanted to go over there. I told her I don't care either way we should still hangout.

" well then Ashley has to ask her dad again because she asked if I could sleep over there before we called you."

" that's fine honey, just tell me what you're going to do before you do it."

I yelled at my dad downstairs again. I asked him if we should go over there or stay here and he said he doesn't care. So I told him I was going to go to Mia's. He said that's fine and then he left. I didn't bother saying I love you again because he never says it back.

" my dad said its fine." I told her.

" okay let's go to your room and grab your stuff. Remember to bring a blanket because last time there was only one blanket ."

I grabbed my stuff. I threw my stuff in the trunk of the car, and drove away with mia in the front. We talked about our ice cream and how me and Jacob went on an ice cream date. There was an awkward silence. I asked her if she thinks that meant that me and Jacob were dating now. She said she didn't really know and that he probably have to ask you out before it was a sure thing.

"Do you think I should text him or ask him."

She said I should say no, because I didn't want Jacob to feel like he'd have to say yes or no.

I texted him anyways.

Me: hey Jacob, I was wondering if technically since we went on a date are we going out? I don't want you to feel cornered or anything like you have to say yes or no, but I just kinda want to know.

Jacob: well I don't know, I didn't technically ask you out so, will you go out with me?

Me: yeah.

Jacob: okay! So it's official right?

Me: yeah.

"Mia, I just asked Jacob if we were dating and he said we're not technically but we could and then I said I guess so and then he said so will you go out with me and I said yeah and then he said so it's official right and I said yeah."

"Wow!that's exciting!"

"Yeah!"

We pulled into her driveway on her mom greeted us. We walked in the house and went to her room. Her room was in the basement and to be honest I felt more comfortable down there. Because upstairs it's always so hot in their house. And in the basement, its really cold and nice.
