The doctors were getting me an ultrasound. I looked up at the monitor and glanced at what my baby looked like.

I hadn't seen what is had looked like before so this was a surprise. 2 babies. That's right, 2 babies. Babies? I never thought about it. I am gonna have 2 babies. Twins. 1 girl.1 boy. What would I name them? I thought about it.
I've only been pregnant for 3-ish months so they were super super tiny.

The girl will be Madeline.
The boy will be Michael.

Perfect.

"Jacob."

"Yeah? Are you alright? "

"Yes I'm fine. Umm look at the monitor. "

"2?"

"2"I replied.

"That's perfect!"

"What should we name them?"

He thought about it.

"I don't know."he finally said.

"I was thinking a minute ago.Umm what do you think of Madeline and Michael?"

"That's perfect! I promise I won't ever leave you. And I will find a higher payiny job right now. I'll give you days off from the babies. And I'll make dinner some nights. I promise."

"That's great!"

Beep....beep... beep ..beep.beep beep

The beeping was getting louder and faster.

Docotors were yelling.

"It's okay Ashley, it's okay. " Jacob was saying.

"What's going on?

The doctors were yelling across the room at each other. Finally one of them yelled

"We need more doctors!!"

Beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep

At last the beeping slowed down.

I was laying in the bed. I opened my eyes. I guess I blacked out in the middle of them yelling. I looked around. Not a single body was in here.

Where did everyone go? I thought. Maybe I'm actually dead. I looked around again.

"Hello?" I said.

A nurse came in.

"How are you doing sweety?"

"Uhh, good I guess."

"Good."

"Yeah. Uhh where is everyone?"

"Oh most of them left. Except for one."

"Who?"

"Umm he goes by the name of....Jacob."

"Can he come in?"

"Yes"

"Okay"

Jacob walked in.

"Hey how are you doing?"

"Okay, I guess"

"Good."

The nurse interrupted.

"You will be able to go home tomorrow miss Greenwood."

"Okay thank you"

She left Jacob and I in the room alone.

"Did my dad end up coming then?"

"Actually..."

"Yeah?"

"He did come, but he said to tell you when you woke up that you can't come back home and you have to live somewhere else. Sorry Ash...."

"It's fine."

"Do you want to live with me?"

"Can I?"

"Sure"

"Okay. Thanks."

"You're welcome......babe."

I smiled. How could you not. He is so sweet it's insane. Maybe its because everyone these days is used to players. I dunno. Anyways. He spent the night at the hospital with me. The nurse asked me if I wanted him to stay and I said yes. She said okay then whispered quietly:

" if he bothers you, touch the blue button on your left to call someone."

"Okay."

"Okay. We'll be back to check on you at 1:45 or so."

I nodded.
