Part One: The Tragedy.

Percy sat there, mourning Annabeth's body. She was the first one Gaia had killed, and Percy had gotten revenge.
"Percy!" His friends called, but he ignored them.
"Percy! " they called again. He heard footsteps approach.
"Per-" Jason started speaking, but stopped when he saw Annabeth's body.
"What happened?"
"Gaia happened." Percy said.

That night, they burnt Annabeth's burial shroud. Percy said a few words. He looked up into the sky and watched as the smoke rose up. He happened to spot a symbol in the sky. A blue bird. From Percy's experience, a blue bird could only mean Athena.

That night Percy had a dream. He was in the Olympian throne room, with all the gods in their seats. They were all muttering amongst themselves. Percy caught a few words. Killed, friend, betrayal, son of Posiedon. But the one that troubled him the most was Percy Jackson. "Someone is spying on us!" Zeus thundered. (Get it? God of the sky and lightning/thunder? )

Percy woke with a start. He got out of bed and walked outside. He was confused to see it was already morning. He wrote a letter and sent it to Annabeth's family, in San Francisco.
That morning, Percy didn't fell motivated to do any camp activities at all.
"Percy!" Chiron, the camp director, called out.
Percy turned around and waited for Chiron to gallop to him, since Chiron is a Centaur.

Centaurs are half human and half horse. The upper body is human and the lower body is horse. If it were the opposite way, it would just be weird. I mean c'mon! How would a horse head look on a human body? *Shudders violently*

"Is everything okay Percy?"
"No."
"What's wrong?"
"I just feel... emptiness. You know?"
"Yes. As a matter of fact Percy, when my parents died, I didn't do anything for days! And I regret that now. I could have learnt so many things! I have a Hindi saying Percy." कल करें सो आज कर, आज करें सो अब,पल में परलै होगा, तो बहुरी करेगा कब?" It translates,  do tomorrow's work today, today's work now, because if you don't, you might never finish your work."
"Okay Chiron, I understand."
Percy ran off, doing exactly what Chiron told him to.
