Chapter 11

Trigger Warning: screaming, attacking, panicking, chloroform
—
Janus could have sworn that he felt himself sitting upright in his bed for hours, in complete darkness with the only form of natural light coming from the dim moonlight shining through the cracks in between his curtains. Janus had felt as if his body was completely numb, zoning out in the darkness of his room, which he hoped that he was alone this time.
After Janus had sat there in his bed, he finally felt his body move and get himself out of bed. Janus had slowly slipped himself out of bed, struggling a bit to keep himself up and steady. Janus knew that his body was in shock, just by the way his body was violently shaking. Janus bent down next to his bed, reaching around under his bed. After searching around for a bit, Janus felt his hand brush against just what he was looking for, it was his baseball bat. Once Janus had grabbed the bat, he immediately stood back up, now holding the bat firmly in both of his hands.
Janus took small and cautious steps towards his door, scared to know if Remus was still in his apartment or what would happen if Remus had seen that Janus was awake. Janus gulped and felt his body shake even more at the thought of what could've happened if Remus had seen Janus. After what felt like forever Janus was finally in front of his door contemplating if he should open it. Slowly, Janus, had one of his hands let go of the bat and put it onto the doorknob. Janus could only feel how shaky his hand was when putting it up to the doorknob. Slowly Janus turned the doorknob, hearing the "click" noise the doorknob made once the door was now open. Slowly Janus pulled open the door cautiously, cringing at the creaking noise the door would make every few moments.
Janus peeked his head out of his room, having some trouble with trying to see in such darkness. Though Janus had listened for any form of noise to hopefully hear if Remus was still out there. Jaus held a bone-crushing grip on his bat, his breathing being incredibly shallow and slow. Janus had stood there with his head only peeking out of the door, he didn't hear anything, it was all just complete silence which had only scared Janus a bit more.
After what had felt like forever of Janus just having his head peeked out into the darkness of his apartment, Janus had finally gained the confidence to step out of his room and into the hallway. Taking cautiously slow steps, Janus made his way down the hall, having his eyes rapidly dart around all over his apartment, making sure he didn't see anything or anyone.
Janus slowly stumbled his way over to his living area, making sure to take small and cautious steps to avoid making too much noise in case there was still someone in his home. Janus truly didn't understand what or why Remus was even doing this. Why did Remus drug those people's drinks? Now, why was he breaking into Janus' home? There had to be a possible reason or motive for these actions. Janus didn't understand why he was still talking to Remus anymore. Granted, Janus couldn't help himself to stop talking to Remus, Janus had just fallen too deep in love with Remus.
Janus flipped his light switch on in his living area. Janus briefly squinted his eyes at the sudden bright lights. Though Janus looked around at what he could see thanks to the lights and thankfully Janus didn't see anything different about his home, he still had to check all of his homes.
Janus entered the kitchen, still firmly holding the bat in the palms of his hands. Scanning, over the kitchen, Janus had noticed that nothing was changed, like the living area. Janus was kind of freaking out a bit, was he just hearing things? Was he so deranged in love with Remus that he thought that all up? Janus sighed, he might as well as go to bed at this point. It was fairly late with it still being completely dark outside.
As Janus was about to walk to his room, he shut off the remaining lights. Right after Janus had shut off the lights and left himself in pitch darkness, that's when he heard unexpected shuffling noises. Janus felt his entire body stiffen up, his entire world stopping.
'Oh god, oh god, oh god!'
Remus was still in his home, what was he going to do to Janus? Janus didn't know what to do, he couldn't move, his body was in shock. "...h-hello?" Janus felt himself stutter, not noticing how dry his throat had felt.
Though Janus heard no response, instead he heard small shuffling noises continue for a moment then stopping, then shuffling noises continued again. The problem was, the shuffling kept getting closer and closer. Janus had only felt himself become even stiffer, both palms becoming sweaty causing the bat to slowly slip in his hand.
Then everything just went by so fast for Janus, he felt practically being thrown down onto the floor by someone. The sudden impact caused Janus to drop the bat out of his hands, rolling several feet away from Janus, out of his reach.
Janus immediately went into a panic, he was terrified and didn't know what was going to happen. Without being able to see anything in the pitch-black darkness, he could feel someone standing over him. So in Janus' panicked state, he desperately flailed his legs, attempting to kick Remus away. Though Janus only felt his adrenaline rush, even more, when he felt a firm and hard grip on both his ankles.
Granted now Janus was attempting to struggle out of his grasp. Only for it to immediately be stopped when he felt weight pressed down onto his lap, having his wrists pinned down above his head, with Remus managing to only do this with a single hand. Now Janus was screwed, he couldn't move at all, he couldn't even defend himself at all anymore.
Desperately trying and attempting, Janus struggled and wriggled, just hoping that he could slip out of Remus' grasp. God, he was so scared, to the point where he could feel himself intensely shaking and even tears began rolling down his cheeks, "P-Please! Let m-me go! I-I'll d-do anything! P-Please!" Janus stuttered out, desperately begging.
Though Janus had managed to notice the slight shifting of weight on his lap, he felt slight relief as he thought that Remus would get off of Janus. Only Janus felt his heart speed up again as he managed to slightly see Remus only grabbing something out of his pocket. Janus only panicked more. What if Remus was pulling out a knife? Is he gonna kill Janus now?!
These thoughts kept running through Janus' head, now attempting to wriggle out of Remus' grasp even harder.
Everything stopped the moment Janus felt a cloth shoved onto his face, specifically covering his mouth and nose. The moment Janus had taken an inhale, he took in the scent from the cloth and recognized the smell, it was chloroform. Janus wriggled even more, desperately trying to scream and avoid inhaling the toxins from the cloth.
The problem was, Janus could feel himself slipping in and out of consciousness. Though Janus tried so hard to fight it, it was only getting more difficult with his body getting weaker by the seconds. Janus felt himself finally accepting this, with his body slowly slipping into
consciousness.
"Go to sleep, darling. You'll be just fine when you wake up.~" Janus heard faintly as his eyes slipped shut.
