Four years old:

As the daughter of the world's most famous chocolatier, it was pretty easy to tell that D/N had always aspired to be like her candy making father.

Ever since she could remember, there was never a moment where the child wasn't close to Willy.

wether it be her sitting next to him in the chocolate room, going for a boat ride down the chocolate river, or sitting in the candy man's office just to keep him company, the little protégé was stuck to Willy like glue.

Although the candy girl loved doing all of those things, there was something else that sparked her interest

D/N didn't want to just sit and watch. Oh heavens no! She wanted to actually make the candy all by herself.

The girl was quite the imaginative one, there was no doubt about that. But just how she would use her imagination, well, she was stuck.

On this particular day, D/N found herself venturing to the chocolate room.

Willy was in his office, answering important letters and sketching new ideas for candy. Thus, he could not accompany the girl on her candy making adventure. However, that didn't stop the child in the slightest.

She was determined to get What she wanted, even if it meant getting in trouble.

As the young child stepped inside the room, the site  in front of her took her breath away.

As she gazed around at the Oompa Loompas, D/N wondered on where to start her candymaking journey. However, before she could think on it further, the little girl reached in her pocket and pulled out a nut that she had taken from the nut sorting room a few days earlier.

One of the squirrels had so graciously given her one after they saw how loving she was towards them. It made sense then, that the girl should honor the animal by putting a nut in the chocolate. However, there was just one problem. Where would she place it?

Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in the child's head, and before she realized what was happening, the candy girl scooped up chocolate from the flowing river, and attempted to cover the nut with it.

The opah Loompa's, no longer focused on their work, began looking at the girl with worry etched on their faces. With frantic movements, they attempted to communicate with the child but alas, she was unable to speak their unique language. Suddenly, an angry voice pierced the silence.

"D/N Wonka! What on earth are you doing? Do you have any idea what you have done? You know better than to touch the chocolate with your bare hands! I have been pacing up and down the factory looking all over for you! Do you realize how dangerous this is? God for bid if you fell into the chocolate river. I wouldn't have known, and you could have died! You should be ashamed of yourself!  What on earth were you thinking?"

In all the years of her existence, never had the child heard her father yell. Not once. Even when her father was upset, he tried to keep a calm demeanor, especially when his little girl was around. Now though, it seemed as if he was an entirely different person, and if D/N was being honest, it scared her.

Fearfully, the child looked up into her father's face. His eyes, once soft and playful, were replaced with utter rage.

As soon as Willy gazed at the child's face, his eyes softened as he saw the tears running down her cheeks. Carefully, he scooped the girl up and cradled her against his chest, whispering soothing words as sobs racked her trembling body.

"Sshhhhhhh, sshhhh Gumdrop. You're okay, you're okay. There, there. Breathe sweetheart. You'll make yourself sick. Sshhhhh, Daddy's here Gummy bare. I'm so sorry!"

Willy continued this way until a few minutes later, when the girl finally calmed.

Gently, the candy man lifted the girl's chin to look into her eyes. Softly, he spoke once more.

"I'm so sorry I yelled sweetheart. What made you come in here and touch the chocolate in the first place. You can tell me. I promise I won't get mad."

"I just wanted to be like you." Said D/N. "All the candy you make is so great! I failed daddy. I have no pure imagination."

Those words caused tears to fill Willy's blue eyes and sadness to fill his heart. How could his own daughter, his little  gumdrop, think such a thing? Of course she  had pure imagination. The purist he's ever seen.

Looking down, Willy spotted a chocolate covered nut resting on the mint grass, and picked it up for his daughter to see.

"Look here darling! You made this! Even though You scared me half to death, you managed to make something so amazing and scrumptious! I am so " proud of you! You do have pure imagination sweetheart! You truly do!

Smiling, D/N looked up hopefully at her father.

"Does this mean I can make candy's Daddy?" Chuckling, willy hugged the girl close.

"I'll make you a deal. You can help me, but only help. I don't want you to get hurt. Once we practice more, I'll allow you to make candy's unsupervised. Until then my little gumdrop, you're stuck working with me. How does that sound?"

With joy, the candy girl spun around.

A few days later, boxes of chocolates branded Wonka's Nutty Wonders were sent out all over the world.

Willy was proud and D/N? Well she was just as imaginative as ever.
