10 years old.

It was a peaceful night in the factory.

The lights were off, and all inhabitants were asleep. Well, except for one. For without worning, a loud crash erupted from the inventing room.

The disturbance soon woke Willy, who up until this point had been sound asleep dreaming of sweets.

When the noise sounded once more, The candy man grabbed his cane, and sprinted to the inventing room, terrified of what he might find.

What he found though, was anything less than terrifying. Well, at least at that moment it seemed. For what the candy genius saw when he entered the room was his daughter D/N, Just standing there.

Willie didn't panic at first, but as he looked closer at the girl, he began to tremble in fear. For not only was the child just standing there, but her eyes were open and unblinking.

Not wanting to startle his gumdrop, Willy spoke softly.

"What are you doing awake Gumdrop? You're supposed to be asleep. Come on darling. Let's get you back to bed."

The girl was silent.

Willy tried snapping his fingers, but nothing. He knew that this would startle the candy girl, but what choice would he have?

After shaking the girl, the next thing that happened scared Willy out of his wits.

D/N began to laugh maniacally, as if she were insane.

Chills ran up and down the candy maker's spine at her next words.

"Oompa Loompa doopady doo! Willy Wonka's coming for you. Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!"

"No no Sweetheart," Willy said in a soft voice. I'm not coming for anyone."

"Oh yes you are! You're going to turn a girl into a blueberry and a boy into fudge! It's happening Mmahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!"

The chocolatier was lost on what he should do. He knew that there was no way to get through to the girl, so he thought of the next best thing.

After reassuring the child once more that he wasn't going to harm anyone, the candy maker began to gently guide D/N back to her room.

"Where are we going?" D/N asked.

"I'm taking you back to your room. I need my rest and so do you."

Willy wasn't sure if the girl could understand him, but what did it matter? To him, walking in siolence was boring.

D/N spoke up once more.

"There's no way of knowing where we're going."

Despite the crazy situation he was in, the candy man smiled.

"Yes, I suppose so."

Before long, the pair reached the room.

Carefully, Willy Deposited the girl onto her bed, and Saufley kissed her head.

"Sweet dreams Gumdrop. I love you."

After waiting for a few minutes, Willy Was relieved to see that the girl had fallen asleep. After returning to his room, the Candyman followed soon after.

This night was quite an interesting one, but needless to say, it was one that Willy would never forget!
