Over the next week we were bombarded with information and resources for creating our project - nad everything was going surprisingly smoothly after our 'not friends, not enemies' deal. The lesson was almost over and I was so ready to go and take a long nap curled up in a little ball when the teacher just had to stop us.

"To try to help all the pairs get more comfortable together, I want you all to take at least one extracurricular activity lesson together. It only has to be for as long as one session but I do expect you all to do it. It will help to increase your friendship with your partner and therefore it will help you create a better project. I expect all of you to sign up for one night at the least by the end of this week! I'll see you all tomorrow, and feel free to take a flyer which contains a list of all of the activities available from my desk as you leave."

I did not want to have to spend more time with Timothee than needed. But according to the teacher, who I think is getting a bit fed up with me already, it is not up for debate.

Damn, I need to ace this project otherwise I'm out of here.

I grabbed a flyer and Timothee before we left the lecture hall and we walked out talking about what activity we should take. He did not seem overly impressed with the idea I had but I followed through and grabbed a flyer, deciding that whichever activity I opened it up on would be the one we have to take. Needless to say, he wasn't too keen on it.

"Drum roll please..." I started.

He drummed his fingers on top of my head and I tried pathetically to swat his hands away. All the while he was giggling at my feeble attempts.

I finally opened it and... Latin dance! Timothee groaned and threw his head back in annoyance.

"Seriously?"

"You know the rules"

"Ugh I did not sign up for this." He crossed his arms and frowned. "When is it? And if it's longer than an hour I'm leaving"

"Ooo there's a class tonight at 5 till 6."

"Great. I can guarantee that I will despise every minute."

"Sucks to be you then I guess." I shrugged.

In response he only turned and made his way down the corridor. Did he have no manners to say goodbye before he struts off? I quickly folded up the flyer into a little airplane and gave it a sharp flick in the direction of Timothee's head. When it hit directly in the middle of his head, the blow softened by his curls, he turned round with a comical look of confusion on his face. He had connected the dots by the time he saw the paper plane on the floor and I had to stifle laughter.

The edges of his lips curled up into a small smile that I hadn't seen in ages. He started walking briskly in my direction and as he got closer it turned into more of a run. When I realised that, I quickly started to back away.

"Oh no you don't" he said as he wrapped me up in his arms and squashed the paper into my head.

"Ahh no please no! What makes you think I would do such a thing?"

He grabbed my chin and gently pushed it up "I can tell just by looking at that cheeky smirk"

My heartbeat feels like it's going a million beats a minute. What is going on? My breath catches and if I'm not mistaken so does his.

What feels like minutes go by before either of us takes a step back. He rubs an uneasy hand over the back of his neck.

"Well I'll see you at 5 then" I say and start to turn in the direction of my dorm.
