Chapter 1- Jennette

Talia threw me a pair of black thigh-high boots to complete my outfit: a leather jacket, silver top, and miniskirt. I protested on the skirt, but she complimented me to show off my killer legs. I stood in front of the mirror, giving myself a once over on my appearance. I looked good. The skirt's too short. I frowned, pulling it down. The hem won't give.

I saw the reflection in the mirror as Talia came behind me. She's wearing a purple mini dress; dark pink heels and her hair was wavy to her shoulders.

"Can I wear skinny jeans? My ass looks better in those," I suggested.

"You look so hot! Your ass is phenomenal either way," Talia exclaimed, snapping my black bra strap exposed on my shoulder.

"Ow." I pushed her playfully, fixing my strap inside my sleeve. "Where is this party?" I asked her.

"Uptown," she simply said, spraying perfume on her neck.

"Uptown?" I raised one of my eyebrows. "Like, where the rich and drug-loaded are?"

"Don't worry, I got the connections," she smirked at me as she brushed on some more blue eyeshadow.

"You mean the guy you're sleeping with that I haven't met," I stated, crossing my arms. I heard him sneak out some nights from Talia's room, forming a shadow.

"Exactly! He knows all the famous types. Socialites, heiresses, businessmen," she raised her eyebrows up and down.

"So he's coming to pick us up."

"Yep."

"It sounds like we're crashing," I told her. I'm not getting arrested from a party. In this outfit, no way.

"We're desirable women, it's our easy invite." She flipped her curled black hair, fixing the smudge of pink lipstick on her mouth. It's definitely easy for her, she has a memorable, symmetrical face. It's all in the magazines and billboards.

"Easy for you to say," I mentioned.

"Don't do that self doubting crap." She rolled her eyes.

"I'm not, model," I emphasized.

"Don't hate the game, or the player." I scoffed with a laugh. A ping went off from her notifications.

"Samuel's outside," she told me while reading off her phone, then threw it in her black clutch purse.

"Samuel?" I questioned.

"My boo, duh." She grabbed my arm, pulling me out of the door and we exited the room.

Talia saw him, immediately pouncing on his body when he got out of his car. Wrapping her legs around his waist, his arms around her neck slobbing her tongue in his mouth. I grimaced as they made out, lip smacking each other's faces. Gross. He's older looking. Flawless dark skin, wearing a crisp blue suit. She jumped off him and introduced us. His white teeth shined through as he smiled, I smiled back, his smile was engaging. He looked charming and sharp in my eyes. Talia knew how to pick 'em.

His muscular, broad shouldered build filled out the suit, no wonder Talia's all over him. He grabbed my waist and lifted me up, my feet were hanging.

"Hello," I said shyly as he placed me down, my feet hit the concrete with a slap from my shoes.

"You're beautiful," he said in his rich deep voice, sending a chill down my spine. He brushed a hair behind my ear. Oh, he's touchy.

"Uh, thank you," I responded, giggling, and hiding a bashful when we pulled away. He swaggered to his jet-black car, with a flip of his blazer blowing through the wind like he was a runway model. I turned to Talia; she bit her lip at the sight of his butt.

"Ladies." He opened the door for us, Talia led the way to his vehicle with a skip in her heels going to the passenger side. I followed, sitting in the back, and shut the door. He pushed in gear and drove off at a fast speed.

Thirty heart-stopping minutes later, the car stopped in front of a huge white house. My pulse calmed down, breathing in and out and the feeling from my fingers came back from gripping the front seat in fear. I yelled out three times for him to slow down, his music was too loud to hear me. He turned off the ignition, and we all stepped out one by one. My legs felt wobbly from the ride. I paused my steps, stretching my neck from side to side. I pulled down my skirt again. Is it that short?

"Nice," a male voice muttered behind me. Looking at the source behind me, he had a sly look on his face as he licked his lips. Shuddering from his creepiness, I pulled my skirt down again and moved away, quickened my footsteps behind Talia and Samuel as they were arm in arm. I should have worn jeans.

There were couples lounging and smoking on the lawn in clean suits and dresses. A bouncer blocked the doorway, he was average height, black hair, dark suit, low cut hair and a chart in his hand. As we approached, Samuel muttered something to him in his ear and they shook hands. He unchained the red rope and let us in. Tentatively I entered behind, he gave me a wink as I walked past him. Beats of the music vibrating floor, groups of partygoers dancing, and drinking. I breathed in, there was a sticky smell of sweat and tequila made me scrunch my face as I stood taking in the scene. My skin prickled on my skin; I itched the back of my neck.

"Let's get lit!" Talia screamed, she linked my arm with hers and we headed to the middle of the dance floor with Samuel. The music bumped from the speakers; I moved my body to the beat.

I headed to the bar, starting off with a whiskey shot. I'm gonna need more of this. I took three more, it's already making my head swim. The burn was so good. Sam rested his arm around my neck. I giggled, pulling his arm off me. "Bathroom." I stepped off, trying to relieve my bladder. Where is it? I stood on my toes, there's a line. That could be it. I couldn't wait. There's gotta be another one in this big ass house. "OH!" I yelped, bumping into someone, they held my forearms Tall, a crisp suit I looked up to apologize. His skin was tan, coiffed neat hair. I felt my face flush. "Sorry."

"Watch it next time." His voice was smooth like butter and playful, he smirked. Maneuvering my body to the side, he sidestepped to go the other way.

"Wow," I exhaled. I need to pee. I saw a door cracked open. There's shoes. Heels. Black heels and brown dress shoes near a tall mirror. I attempted to push it open if this room had a bathroom.

"Get out!" I jumped as they shrieked. The door slammed in my face.

"Jesus," I muttered, shaking my head. I turned to another door, knocking this time.

"Hold on!" The voice yelled from the other side, I'm about to pee on myself. She came out quickly, lipstick was smeared on her cheek and blouse hanging off her shoulder. Her eyes were red, short hair scuffed up.

"Are you ok?" I asked in an uncertain tone, furrowing my eyebrows.

She looked at me, sweating and flaring her nostrils, "mind your business." Her shoulder bumped mine and she walked off.

"Rude bitch." I mumbled, going inside. Finally, After I finished my business, I exited the restroom. Another girl jumped in before I could close the door. I came back to Talia and Sam. Talia had a martini in her hand, sitting on the barstool and downed it in seconds, kissing Sam sloppy on his cheek. It's gonna be one of those nights. I ordered a Martini of my own, dry.
