Chapter 10 - Damon
I took another puff from my cigarette, letting the smoke calm my heart. It didn't work, how am I gonna pay this off this time? Terry was blowing up my phone, Bennett still wanted Sam's girl and her roommate and Sam hasn't talked to Talia yet. I'm tired of the bullshit. However I had a plan, it could work. It had to work. I dialed Bennett, puffing out and releasing the nicotine smoke from my lips. She's gonna fucking kill me when she sees the transactions. Some loose ends needed to be tied. Paid off. And dealt with. I took another puff, coughing when it hit my throat. I brought out my vial, stuck a pinkie in for a quick sniff. I rubbed my nose for no traces of white powder.
"About damn time." I turned around. Terry's nose flared, her skin was flushed and arms were over her chest. I grinned as kindly as I could. I texted Terry to meet me at Amina's warehouse. It was closed on Saturdays for maintenance. Sometimes janitors come to clean for an hour so I had to be quick before they see us.
"Terry. You look lovely," I complimented, holding my arms open for a hug. "Your outfit is bewitching."
"You look like shit. Where is my money?" She asked in a harsh tone.
"We're getting right to it, huh?" I dropped my arms, making them swing back and forth. So much for kindness.
"I have bills to pay, you fucking liar."
"And I have it." I pulled out an envelope and handed it to her, grinning again. Showing all my teeth. She glared, frozen like a statue. "It's all there. I swear." This time, I was telling the truth. No bullshit. I'm risking this so she could stop bothering me and maybe help me in the future.
Narrowing her eyes, she snatched it off my fingers, the envelope rumpled. I watched as she counted each bill. She looked up, then back down counting again. I let out a cloud of smoke to calm my heart rate. "Ok. You actually came through. Congratulations. This is the last time I will do any type of favor for you." She whirled around ready to leave.
"Oh come on, baby, you had fun." I grabbed her elbow before she could take another step. We glanced at eye level. Terry sneered, removing her arm from my hold in a swift motion.
"Two cops showed up at my place about a dead body. Do you want to talk about that?" I shut my eyes tightly. Shit.
"Don't worry about that."
"You know? Did they come to your place?"
"I haven't been home yet. I assumed they would."
"Damon, this was a one time thing. And I'm dealing with cops showing up because my name was on the list. What the fuck?""We'll handle it." I hold up my hands to assure her.
"There's no we, man. Just you. What you have and Judy and Sven is on yall. I don't want any part of it."
"You do. You wiped off those files."
"Because you begged me. Your name is on the transactions and didn't want a trace. How dare you try to bring me down?" She poked at my chest. Ow, damn she's strong. I massaged the pained spot.
"Terry. I'm not trying to drag you down."
"And you're not going to. Fix it. Just not with me or Hannah. Have a nice life." Her heels clacked when she walked away. Shit. I grabbed and pulled at my hair. I'm fucked. Now I have to find a way to pay Amina back. I pulled out my phone. I got a few missed calls from Amina. I'll deal with her later. I dialed the one person that could ease my tension. And she picked right up.

"Yes, yes, yes! Oh Damon, right there!" her moans and screams were music to my ears. She agreed to meet me here since her roommate was home. My tongue lapped more between her folds. It was heaven tasting her. She came as loud as she could, my fingers and mouth combination did it. She gasped and giggled."Wow. You're better at it when you're not high," Talia said in pants.
"You don't notice the difference.." I lifted my head from between her thighs and wiped my mouth.
"Last time you passed out and I had to wake you up before Jennette came home. Why are you here anyway in a hotel?" She squinted, looking around the messy bed and half painted green walls.
"That's my business. I actually wanted to talk to you." I kissed her inner thigh.
"About what?" She tilted her head, caressing his hair. "Your hair is so soft."
"I use a lot of conditioner. So listen, I met this guy a few weeks ago. He mentioned you."
"Little ole me? He saw my magazine spread in Vogue?"
"Kind of. He saw you with Samuel the first time you met him." She squinted when I mentioned the night we all met each other at an after party of her runway show.
"Uh huh. Do I know him?"
"Bennett Falls," I simply said. She lifted her body, and dropped her jaw.
"Bennett Falls, as the one of the richest men in town? The man that inherited his father's company."
"The very one." See, I could tell her. She's wasting her time with Samuel. He was stalling. I could tell she was excited.
"Why didn't you tell me before?" She swatted me on the back of the head. "When does he want to meet?"
"As soon as possible. And he mentioned Jennette. He saw her that night too." I remembered how Bennett spoke of them. He was mesmerized. I'm telling her half truths, not of his videotape habits. Even Amina didn't know. All the girls consented before he hit record.
"What does he want? If he wants to invest he has to talk to our boss," Talia explained.
"More like a personal meeting. And he wants to meet you and Jennette."
"Why? We don't know him. Does he want to hire us? Our work ethic isn't great. I know Jennette cares more about her drawings than her job."
"You could say that," I bobbed my head. "I'll set it up myself."
"Wait. don't set up anything. I have to tell Jennete, you know how she is. And I don't-" I cut off her words in a quick kiss. "No, Damon. I'm serious." She whined.
"Please. He really wants to meet you two."
"I'll think about it." A ding came from her phone, reaching over her ass exposed from her blanket. I smacked it, and she giggled. "I gotta go."
"Ok, think about it, please." She removed her blanket and began getting dressed. I watched the way she slipped on her jeans slowly. Like how she took them off.
"I will." Talia smirked and gave me a quick peck on the lips and left. Yes. Yes! Payday is gonna be huge. I'm almost out of here.
