The next morning, I woke up at around noon. I opened my eyes slightly to be blinded by the by the sunlight coming in through my window.
"Ugghhhhh." I groaned.
I slid out of bed and stretched. As I passed my mirror to go downstairs, I realized that I was still wearing my outfit from yesterday. I decided to change into a pair of pajamas even though it was already 12:00 pm. I walked downstairs and entered the kitchen. Just as I suspected, everyone was already awake. Well, everyone except James.
"Morning," I said.
"Good morning. You slept in pretty late." Kelly said.
"Yeah. I got home pretty late and I was beyond exhausted when I got home." I explained.
"Oh. Well I hope you slept well. Do you want some eggs and bacon?" She offered.
"Sure. I'm starving." I replied.
"So, how was the party," asked Courtney.
"It was fun. It was a pool party but I didn't go in the pool, I mostly talked with my friend." I replied.
"Oh, so you've already made a friend?" Kelly interrupted.
"Yes." I laughed. "Her name is Aubrey. She's really nice."
"Meet any cute boys?" Joked Courtney.
"Actually, yes." I began. " His name is Wesley. He was the host of the party." I said matter-of-factly.
"Ohhhh." Smiled Courtney. "Do you have an classes with him in school?"
"Yep, I think I have science and that humane society class." I replied.
"That's nice. Maybe you'll have a boyfriend this year." Kelly smirked.
"Ha ha ha, very funny." I replied sarcastically. "What are you guys doing today?" I asked.
"We were just about to invite you for a girls day out." answered Kelly.
"What about James?" I pondered.
"Oh, he's going out with his new friend." Kelly replied in a gleeful tone.
"Okay, sounds good. Let me get ready and I'll be down in a few." I concluded as I hopped up the stairs.
As I reached my doorway, I scanned my room in search of my towel. I found it hung up on my closet door so I walked over and tugged at it until it slid into my arms. I made my way into the bathroom and quickly got undressed. Taking a look in the mirror, I decided that I would wash my hair. I hopped into the steamy shower and quickly lathered my body in soap and washed my hair.
After about 10 minutes in the shower, I stepped out, careful not to fall, and dried my body. I wrapped my towel around myself, picked up my clothes and scurried to my room.
As I entered my room, I shut the door and dropped my clothes into my hamper. Picking up my phone, I navigated to my weather forecast app to discover that it was going to be a sunny and hot day. Taking this into consideration as I picked out my outfit, I decided on wearing a pair of high-waisted,( as you can probably tell, I like high-waisted shorts,) medium wash shorts, paired with a cute floral tank top. I slipped into a pair of nude colored sandals and took a look in the mirror. Satisfied, I walked to the bathroom.
When I entered the bathroom, the mirror was foggy and the room was humid so I turned on my blow dryer to cool and pointed it towards the mirror. When I could see my reflection clearly, I unplugged the hairdryer and stuck it into the sink cabinet. I pumped a small amount of Moroccan oil hair serum and applied it to my hair. Taking, my comb and parting it to the side, I gently ran my hand through my hair to give it a more natural look. I brushed a light amount of powder into my face and applied some lip balm. Satisfied, I made my way downstairs.
