TW: swearing
I'm currently in class right now listening to the teacher talking about world history at the moment, I didn't see ryn today at school at all and it's weird for him to not come to school. I ripped a small piece of paper and passed the note over to my other best friend Joan. Joan wrote on the back of the paper her response and passed it over to me, "Yeah, I don't know where he is at school, I hope he's okay." I read her response, my heart was racing did the same thing that happened to Emma happen to ryn? Did he run away? Did he die? I couldn't even focus in class because of this.
After history class, my mind was foggy, I couldn't think straight at all because I was thinking about ryn, all day, every hour of today. I couldn't even focus on the case. I was just so focused on where he was and if he was even okay.
I sat at Joan's table today since Ryn wasn't here. Sage and Lavender do have the shallowest conversation though I will admit, because they are Joan's friends also I just sat through and just be polite as much as I can. "Cleo, when are you and ryn going to date?" Lavender asked, and three of them just looked at me like I had a hickey on my neck. "We're just friends, nothing more," I stated lightly. "Not by the way you guys look at each other.." Lavender teased, everyone at the table giggled except for sage, sage was surprisingly quiet considering she would join on on this type of stuff.
"I'll be right back guys!" Sage exclaimed out of the blue before rushing into the girl's bathroom. It was weird though, but I wasn't going to even question it at all it's her business and her business alone.

As soon school had ended, I got on my bike and began to peddle like the bird from roadrunner and coyote to Ryn's apartment, which was in Brooklyn, and from manhattan to Brooklyn, it was going to take an hour to get there, plus by the time I got there he would have been at work by there, so I was going to have to paddle faster to get there quicker.
With the many cars, and many buses, plus people walking. I finally made it there, luckily I still saw his bike there which meant he was still in his apartment. I parked my bike at the bike racks and ran inside the complex. I have to say, this complex is so fuckin' shitty, it's even shitter than any other complex in Brooklyn. When I got to his door, I knocked. Hopefully, someone would answer.
When Samantha, his half-sister opened the door, she had a warm welcoming face as always, "You can come in, he's just getting ready for work." I walked inside the small but messy apartment. The small kitchen counter had a bag of powder that was peaking out of the cabinets. Toys were all over the living room, with a loud tv playing care-bears.
Then I saw Ryn's toddler, Sarah running with his work tie for his waitress uniform, and ryn trying to obtain the tie from her. Luckily he did, he looked somewhat so clean yet still a little bit messy, his hair was almost in a ponytail, his work clothes are slightly wrinkled, and having dark circles around his eyes. "I was just wondering if you were okay?" I asked full of concern. "Yes yes, I'm fine, I'm fine." He assured me very quickly before fixing his ponytail and putting on his tie quickly before rushing out the door with my own eyes. I even had to blink for a second because of how quick it was

When I got to my lonely home, I thought about my and Ryn's relationship for a second. We've been friends since middle school and I never had any romantic feelings toward him or even thought about being more than friends at all, our entire relationship has been platonic. But lavender made me think today about our relationship, we have kissed before in middle school for a dare and I don't know why but I liked that kiss for some reason. I don't why, but every time I think about that moment it gives me butterflies for some reason, even though it was a dare.
