TW: mentions of SA
I waited for Ryn to wake up at his small kitchen table in the morning, His apartment is very small and very clean. Toys organized, kitchen spotless and floors swept and fake plants everywhere. Sarah was
watching her morning cartoons, then I heard his footsteps, his footsteps are very light but loud enough that you can hear 'em. "Good morning." I greeted, looking at the table. "Morning." He grumbled under his breath, "Can I talk to you about something?" I asked, looking at him "What is it?" He asked also sitting down, "It's about last night, um.." I said not knowing how to say this at all. "What happend?" He asked more confused because he's still coming off his high. "Well you said that you snuck out with this guy and that you also like..guys." I finally said feeling more relieved. "What-What are you talking about?" Ryn stuttered as he started to play with his fingers. "I-I was like high people say dumb shit when they're high." "Ryn, you can be totally honest with me, I won't judge." I'd say looking him in the eyes. There was this huge silence between us and the cartoon shows filled the void of silence. "Sarah, could you go to your room please?" Ryn asked, Sarah whined but obeyed and went to her room with her toys
Ryn sighed before even saying something, this was the loudest silence I ever experienced in my entire life and the cartoons filled that dark and black void.
"..Yes." Ryn answered as he started looking at me still playing with her midnight painted fingers. "Yes what?" I asked very confused. "Yes, I like..guys." He'd say finally looking away from me, "I like both bassically, I understand if you want to break up with me, that's fine.." he'd nervously say getting a little teary eyed.
"Why would I break up with you for that reason?" I asked putting my hand on his shoulder. "I'll always love you regardless of who you are" I'd comfort him in a way, "Could I tell you something else?" He asked, looking even more nervous before.
"Sure! You can tell me anything like I said." I'd smiled"I didn't have the greatest childhood growing up honestly, my real dad left us when my monster of a mother was pregnant with me, when I was born she didn't like me, she never did.
She'd hit me constantly and abused me in a lot of ways, later on she uh remarried to another monster, and they had Sam, her uh husband he used to come to my room and..." he say softly, getting more and more teary eyed.
I knew immediately what his step-dad did to him, I never knew he went through something so traumatic and scary I also never have someone a hug in a matter of seconds. His hands gripped on the back my t-shirt, feeling his tears run down my shirt, today I didn't see Ryn, I saw a broken 10 year old boy.
