"The High Council has made a decision concerning the fact that you are to start your journey as a High Warrior." The one in the middle of 7 High Councilors said.
I look around the Adjudicate Chamber. Big enough to host 10 people. This is the room before the ceremony. I have to bleed on the tool or tools I decide to study. All warriors study at least 1 martial art and 1 weapon. Some decide to bleed on more that one, like me.
I wasn't born into the warrior bloodline but I am a demigod of Triton. The thing is... I'm also a demiwitch. My mom tricked my dad into making a baby, when I was born my dad took me and left my mother. I have seen her twice in my whole life. My mom is High Priestess, the one above every witch in the world and a part of the Grand Synod of the universe.
It is very rare for a half witch becomes a Warrior. As in, it has never happened before. The universe hates witches. Witches are usually a part of one of the four elements, with sub structures. Since I'm also half god they watched me grow up closely and I proved myself with discipline, loyalty and respect. I have no ties to my mother.
"Counselors, I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to start my training. I understand the process up until my choosing. I understand because of my blood line you are hesitant and rightfully so, but I want to serve and protect." I tell them, I look down at my hands cradled in my lap.
"We understand how much you want this. However, with your bloodline we cannot simply place you in High Warrior training." Again the middle one spoke for them all.
"I have been through each tier of Basic Warrior training and the Medial Training. I have studied the Directive... I am ready Counselors." I try to convince.
"Are you now... Well let's give and little test shall we?" The middle one asks.
"Yes Counsel." I say
"What is the very first thing you read in the Directive?" The middle one asks
"Respect, respect other people, other worlds, other religions, other ways of life but most importantly respect yourself. To do this live the other life. To not respect is to lead to fear for your place." I answer
"What is the code for dealing with other worlds?" Another question
"Treat as a friendly until proven otherwise, however always be ready to draw your weapon. Caught without a weapon could lead to death." I answer
"What is the responsibility of a High Warrior?"
"To protect and defend place, nation and world. If caught to not do this will lead to no place, no nation, no home and no respect." I answer
"How many arts and tools can you study?"
"To start 1 or 2 each, as you grow older you can learn. Learning is a part of evolving into higher beings. Some have learned every single one." I answer
"What are the tiers of High Warriors?"
"Fledging, Basic, Medial, High and Prime. There can be as many as necessary in the first 4 levels but there are only 7 Prime which is the High Council." I answer then there is silence for a minute
"You may proceed into High training. You will be heavily watched for your training and first few missions. Is that understood?" The middle asks
"Yes Counselor." I say
"We will see you at the ceremony. To be clear there are 30 other warriors to induct with you and you will be 26th in line. Get some sleep, you have a big decision to make." The middle says and I get up. I bow and leave. The lower the bow the lower your rank, I bowed halfway, once I'm inducted tomorrow I will move up a notch.
I am going to my dorm. Like everything else, the dorms have layers. You either have a single or a married or a family dorm. There are other upgrades, like when you are higher in the training. I have a single dorm, a bedroom, a small bathroom, a small kitchen and a room that is co living room and co dining room. Although I never use the dining table. The bedroom is big enough for a full size bed and a small closet. Sometimes you can request an upgrade when there are extra people, or sometimes roommates.
I already know what I'm going to choose. I want to study Kung Fu with a trident and a bow and arrow. I want to take the trident because of my father. I have always loved the bow and arrow. Sometimes, like now someone picks weapons that have no cordination with the martial art.
Before now I have studied everything needed for everyday life and now it is all about training. This training will probably be like a normal school, with a routine schedule. From what I know of Kung Fu, it is about disapline, routine. That's what I need right now.
