4. Punishment and a worried father

Marco POV:

The woman, Tiana, just marches away with her crew! "This snake plays itself up, announces that it is Shank's daughter, accuses one of our brothers of treason, gives us orders and then she just marches away?! Who does this piece of crap think she is?!" I ask very angrily. "Leave it Marco. It was not an order. It was just well-intentioned advice and I think she told us the truth all the time. As far as betrayal is concerned, I don't believe her, but as far as the skeletons are concerned, she was definitely right." I hear pops calm voice say. So he believes this piece of crap. "We take care of these snot spoons here first. Then about the inhabitants and the damage caused. After that, I will contact Shanks and negotiate a meeting. I want to know his opinion and maybe he can tell us more." Pops tells us his plans.

That's it, we make short work of the captain, take their pirate flag from them and make the rest of the crew disappear, that this is a lesson for them. Without hesitation, I kill the captain and explain the next steps to the crew: "This is your first and last warning. We take the pirate flag from you and you can continue sailing with your ship. But attack an island that is under our protection again or you attack us directly, then we will make a short trial and kill you all." I look everyone dead in the eyes. "Did you understand?!" I ask a little louder. Immediately I get a uniform nod. "Well, your turn!" I nod to Vista. He takes off the ropes of the people, brings them to their ship, receives their flag and ensures that they immediately set sail and disappear. Meanwhile, together with Ace, I dispose of the body of this James and together we look at the city. Our divisions have done a very good job of supplying people. Now it's just a matter of making sure that the people are no longer afraid and that the damage is repaired. Afterwards we can set sail again. I see Teach approaching those spikes of the woman and doing something there. I don't know what, but he behaves strangely. Maybe this woman was right after all?... NO! None of us would betray anyone!

I shake my head and get to work.

Tiana POV:

I'm lying on the small roof we have on deck. Here is my regular place and here you can't get me down so quickly. My eyes have returned to normal and I look up at the sky. I like to watch the clouds. However, I can't really think clearly, because my thoughts revolve around the angry phoenix. I didn't know that my chimera had such an effect on him. Well, my manticor also comes from the underworld and his phoenix comes from the normal earthly realm or from heaven. Of course he reacts so aggressively towards me. Somehow that doesn't suit me at all. If our devil powers were not there, then we would certainly have understood each other well. He seemed interesting.

"SHIP IN SIGHT! THE RED SHANKS COMES TO MEET US!" shouts one of us from the crow's nest. "He probably didn't feel like waiting anymore." I say dryly and sit upright. "He must have been worried, after all, we are always on time." says Kyle. "Well, then he will be happy when we tell him the reason why we are so late." I say with a smile. Kyle also starts to smile and some other crew members who have heard us also start smiling. From a distance I can already see the dark facial expression. This will be a fun conversation.

We slow down our ship and Dad does the same. Not long and both ships are at the same height. We connect the ships with a plank and shortly afterwards an angry yonko comes to our ship booted. Luckily, he doesn't let his emperors haki out. That would be very annoying.

"Tiana! Can't you fucking call us when it gets later?! Why did it take so long?!" he asks angrily. I'm still sitting on the roof, so he has to look up to me. "Also nice to see you again after 2 years Dad." I answer with a smile. "We couldn't call because we were still held hostage in a marketplace a little over 4 hours ago." I add. Immediately you can see that his anger turns into worry. "What happened?" asks Ben in a calm voice.

I like Ben, he's like a second father or big brother to me. He also used to help me from time to time when I played pranks on dad. "We anchored to an island that is under Whitebeard's protection. Replenish supplies and then leave. That was our plan. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards another crew also docked. All youngsters who apparently did not know whose flag this is that protects the island. Because these youngsters have begun to plunder and burn. We couldn't look at it, so we intervened, stopped and fought them. A short time later, the Whitebeard Pirates joined us all. They ended the fighting, tied us up and rounded us up in the marketplace. Then came the question of what was going on and the youngsters said that we would be the ones who plunder the island. I didn't comment on it at Tiana's request and when she told me something else, the phoenix got angry and wanted to attack her." says my captain. "Marco the Phoenix wanted to attack Tiana?" Lou sums up skeptically. "Yes, his phoenix and my manticor are something of an arch-enemy. He acted according to his instinct." I say calmly. "In any case, I saved his life, because in the enemy crew the captain had eaten a devil's fruit. He could summon creepy ass skeletons that could pull your life energy out of you. I then killed the skeletons with my spikes and explained what was going on. Then we left. On the way to the harbor, however, I stopped again and talked to a fat ugly pirate who added the wound over your eye Dad." - "Marshall D. Teach." Shanks growls. I nod and say: "Exactly. I also told them all that he has a streak of betrayal and deviousness. But once again, no one wanted to believe me. Anyway, I warned them and one of them extra. A commander. Then I explained my bloodlust to them because I was about to get one and then we just left. I wanted to make sure I wasn't starting a war. And now we are here."

Dad is completely calm for a while and suddenly sits down on the deck. I raise an eyebrow skeptically. I don't know anything like that from him.

"Oh god Tiana. You do things. Look Ben! I didn't worry for nothing! The next time I see Whitebeard, both Whitebeard and Marco will get an enema that has washed!" he complains. Of course, this makes me laugh, as do the rest of our crews.
