You sat legs crossed in the circle, a cute smile plastered on your face. You had never played this game before, being far too innocent for that, but for some reason everyone wanted you to play and being the kind person you were you went along with it.
You got along with almost everyone in Akastuki; you were just too adorable for them not to like you. You were always caring, treated everyone equally, and showed interest in their ways. Apparently, even S-Rank criminals can have a soft spot. Just one person scared you: None other than the resident Jashinist, Hidan. He was always mean to you, no matter what you did. Constantly swearing and calling you nasty things. You guessed your gentle demeanour annoyed him.
Although his horrid insults hurt you, you tried not to show it and put on a brave face.
"Truth or Dare, ____?" Asked Kakuzu, without looking up from the money on the table in front of him.
"Kiss!" You squeaked, smiling sweetly at everyone in the circle. Naturally everyone smiled back at you; even Sasori and Itachi gave you a sympathetic look, and they rarely showed any emotion at all. Tobi leaned across the circle and hugged you, giggling.
Hidan on the other hand, ignored you completely.
Noticing this, Kakuzu chuckled. How could he resist this? He had to do it. Not to be unkind to you, but to annoy the sh** out of his partner for complaining about his business endeavours and taking far too long to complete pointless rituals.
"Fine, kiss Hidan." He said simply, casually pointing over his shoulder to his partner.
Hidan shot out of his seat instantly. "F*** NO!" He yelled, glaring at each member, "I'M NOT KISSING THAT B****!" He howled his face red with rage.
You trembled slightly, frightened.
Kakuzu ignored his partner, and pointed to the door. "Kiss out there."
You nodded shyly and stood up, still shaking. Tobi wished you luck as you walked out of the room.
Hidan let out a stream of curse words and promptly refused to do any such thing.
"Don't argue, Hidan."
The Jashinist turned and glared at Leader, but said nothing.
Leader narrowed his eyes. "And try not to make her cry. Again. You are the only one who does."
Hidan growled and marched into the hallway. But the last thing Leader said was being repeated over and over in his mind.
The only one to make her cry...
Well, that was f***ing stupid. The b**** was always crying at every little thing, anyway. And she always ran away from him. What the h*ll was up with that? She was weak and couldn't do sh** when fighting. How the f*** did she get in Akatsuki anyway? She would end up dead or captured.
And why did he even give a sh**?
He slammed the door angrily on the rest of the Akatsuki. Why DID he actually give a flying f***?
He didn't know, and not knowing made him mad. He swore several times under his breathe, and turned to you. You were curled in a ball against the wall, holding your legs next to your chest and staring at him with wide eyes. You looked like a terrified baby deer or something.
"Alright, b**** let's get this over with..."
He moved towards you, and you scooted away from him. He swore and took a few more steps forward. Once again, you moved away.
"I'm not going to f***ing hurt you!" He howled in desperation. His fist collided with the wall next to him in rage. There was the sound of bones cracking and he clutched his hand in pain. You blinked and stood up, concerned. After all, he was still part of the organisation and...You couldn't just ignore someone when they were hurt.
"Are you alright, Hidan?" You asked, tenderly reaching out and touching his injured hand.
He immediately pulled away from your touch. "How can you be so f***ing nice all the time?!" He yelled, pointing accusingly at you, "I don't f***ing get it!"
He kicked the wall and glared at the ground. Then he heard a whimpering sound.
He turned to look at you. You were staring at him, tears welling in your eyes, making them sparkle and your hands were clasped together. Your lower lip was trembling. Hidan wasn't overly tactful, but he could tell you were about to cry.
"Sh**!" He hissed, as tears began to roll down your cheeks, which were now a light pink, "Don't cry b****! Don't cry!"
You slid down the wall and buried your face in your hands sobbing quietly.
The Jashinist stared at you. What was he supposed to do now? He didn't mean to make you cry and he didn't have a ****ing clue how to comfort someone. He clenched his jaw.
Your weeping grew louder, and he looked around hurriedly to see if anyone else was watching. Then he walked over and stood in front of you, feeling awkward. " Look b****, I'm sh** at all this comforting stuff so...Stop. Please?"
You stopped crying for a moment and slowly looked up at him, your face streaked with tears. "...Why do you hate me, Hidan?"
This surprised him. He said nothing.
It was true...you annoyed him. It was as simple as that. He hated the way you were so...Nice all the time. Never wanting to fight or hurt anything or anyone. He hated it just because it was strange to him. Because he didn't understand.
In fact, now that he thought about it, he didn't actually hate you.
If anything, he only hated the way you treated everyone else...
But you never treated him that way...
Because...apparently he scared you...
You looked up at him expectantly, waiting for an answer, your eyes pleading silently.
"Oh, f***..." Muttered Hidan, wearing an irritated expression and his cheeks glowing red. Whether it was from anger or embarrassment you couldn't tell. He shifted awkwardly. "I...don't hate you, ____, I-WAIT, WHAT THE H*LL?!"
You leaned forward and hugged his legs, practically attaching yourself to them. "Thank you Hidan-san!" You chirped happily, hugging him tighter. Hidan frowned slightly and looked down at you.
"Yeah, yeah, everyone's happy now let's just do this..." He muttered, red-faced and looking awkwardly over his shoulder, wondering if anyone was watching. You beamed up at him and stood up.
"Alright!~"
And with that, you leaned forward and kissed him on the lips. It was only a small peck, but it still resulted in Hidan getting flustered and looking away in a huff. You grinned and skipped into the main room to join the other members, dragging an embarrassed Hidan by your hand as went.
As you entered the room, the Akatsuki members chuckled and smirked at Hidan, who was now so red in the face that he closely resembled a tomato.
"Come and sit with me, Hidan-san!" You sang, leading him to where you sat, obviously oblivious of how self-conscious the Jashinist was. He stood next to you, arms folded and sulking. But his blush gave him away.
"I thought you didn't like her, Hidan?" Smirked Kakuzu.
"SHUT THE F*** UP, YOU SON OF A B****!"
