Chapter 2: Incoming

3 days later.

Janeks radio crackles. The land around you in the buggies was incredibly sandy and dry.
"Test 3, final test. Everyone's radios on and working?" He asks.
A mixture of responses call back to him, everyone's eyes look around the buggies. Some looked scared, some looked unarsed and some looked excited.
Shaw shakes your hand.
"Ready?" She asks.
You nod, smiling at her encouragingly.
This was the moment she had been waiting for, accompanied by her partner.
Charlie Holloway. Who was a bit full of himself, but she of all people loved him. So everyone just moved with it.

You hesitantly let your foot reach the ground, Shaw hovering above the ground from the side of the buggy beside you, you all looked up in disbelief at it. "You will have to crawl" Janek calls.
"What?" Fifield scoffs.
"You will be crawling, to get in"
"You're pulling my leg" he scratches his shoulder.
"Unless you see some sort of entrance, this is what you're doing"
Fifield slowly looks around his surroundings, then, sighs in defeat and starts toward the gap in the wall.
Everyone follows.
"Stay together" Janek commands.
David was crawling beside you, you would glance at him and he would give you a smile.
Where was all of this attention from?

Everyone's boots scratch and crackle through the dusty land, pushing yourselves through the small gap. A helping hand was lent to people as they got through. Charlie helped you up, Shaw brushed your shoulders off and patted you. David points in a direction.
"onward, remember. Stay together" he says through the radio. Shaw grips your hand excitedly. You still couldn't get over what was happening. You were light years from home, in a big alien structure because of some glyph things a group of people discovered.

Dust crumbles down as you all step further and further from the entrance. Your gloved hands trace the walls, the ceilings were high. Shaw stood in the centre of the corridors.
David, walking on the opposite side a little further ahead, was also tracing the walls. But, his fingers pushed into the wall. He stepped back a little before tapping in a memorized code.
You raise your eyebrows, lowering your hand slowly from the wall. Before you could ask anything loud footsteps thump towards you.
