Alex and the rabbit walked into the castle courtyard where a large barn was, they could hear growling coming from inside. " the sword's hidden inside." the rabbit said, Alex nodded before he started walking towards the barn. " be careful, Alex." the rabbit warned. as Alex walked closer to the barn, a strong familiar smell hits his nose. " I know that smell," he said to himself. he came to the barn door before looking through a crack to see the same creature that attacked him in the forest, the bandersnatch. he gasps slightly and took a step back. " I'm not going in there," Alex said to the rabbit. " " look what that thing did to my arm" Alex then pulled down the bandage to reveal three long, bog scratch marks. the rabbit gasps in shock, " dear, oh, dear. why haven't you mentioned this?" the rabbit asks. " wasn't this bad before" Alex answers before pulling back up again as he watched the rabbit hyperventilate in shock before fainting. Alex thinks for a moment before remembering that the Bandersnatch had an eye missing, and he knew how had it. 

he walked back into the castle, looking around for mally before finding her looking for the hatter. " mallymkun." Alex said. mally turned to the large human. " do you still have the Bandersnatch eye?" he asked, mally nodded she held up the eye in a small net. " right here" she said, " I need it" mally scoffed before pulling out her sword, " come and get it" she said. Alex rolled his eyes before snatching it out of mally's hand and walking away, " hey!" she yelled out. Alex started heading back to the barn before he bumped into (Y/N). " Alex," she said before Alex pulled her to the side. (Y/N) sighed with happiness before hugging Alex, he hugged back. " I'm so glad to see you. I thought you left me here with that mad man." she said before letting go of the hug, Alex takes (Y/N)'s checks in his hands as they both smiled, " (Y/N) I was never going to leave you here. but I need to go, but don't worry I'm coming back for you," Alex said as (Y/N) nodded before kissing Alex's cheek. Alex takes his leave as (Y/N) smiled brightly as she watched Alex walk away, but what they didn't realize was that someone was watching from the shadows. 

Alex made it back to the barn as he heard the growls of the Bandersnatch, he takes a deep breath before pulling the door open. once he walked inside, the bandersnatch growled as Alex slowly showed the eye to the creature. " I have your eye," he said nervously. the creature growled before Alex rolled the eye to it before stepping away. the creature grabs the eye with its claw before placing it back in its head as Alex slowly made his eye to the back of the barn where he found a chest. he smiled before it dropped as he saw the chest was locked, he started pulling the lock alerting the creature. then Alex hissed in pain before sitting down at the side of the chest, he takes the baggage off his arm as he tried to keep calm, but then slumber took over and he fell fast asleep. 

back in the castle, (Y/N), the hatter and the king of the heart were in a room surrounded by many of the king's court people. the hatter placed many hats of (Y/N) head as they picked one by one. then a heart-shaped hat was placed on (Y/N) head making the king smile, "I must say you look lovey with that one" the king said with a smile. (Y/N) just nodded her head as the hatter then saw one of the king's court people's fake nose fall off. " oh, I don't wish to alarm you, but it smells as though you might have dropped something. " the hatter whispers to the lady. she panics silently as she picked up her fake nose, as she does the hatter sees a fat man was wearing pillows under his shirt and trousers. this made the hatter laugh at the people around him. the king of hearts rolled his eyes, " never mind him, he's mad. come along" the king said before one of his court's people walked up and whispered in his ear about (Y/N) and Um. he turned to her in anger as (Y/N) saw this she gasps in shock, she knew she had done it now. 

the next morning, Alex was still asleep in the barn, one he opens his eyes he saw the Bandersnatch looking right at him. he shot up slightly watching for the creature to attack, but nothing it just stood there. Alex then looked and saw a key chained around its neck, at that moment he knew it was for the chest. he slowly reached for the key making sure not to scare the create. once it was in his hand he sighed with relief before he saw the Bandersnatch lean towards in and licked his injured arm. he was shocked at the action before he felt his arm feeling a lot better. " thank you, I suppose this makes us even now." he said as the Bandersnatch huffed at him like he was agreeing. Alex turned to the chest and unlocked it, he opens it to see a silver sword sitting inside, he takes it out of the chest and looked at his reflection through the shining steel of the sword. he stood up and left making his way back to the castle.
