Katie's big game

Episode 10

(This may be a little longer episode btw and here won't probably be any fight)

Tomorrow is a big day for Katie. She has a very big basketball match tomorrow, if they win, their team gets to go to an even bigger game where many teams from different countries will play. This has been Katies dream ever since she started playing basketball at 3 years old.

Lately Katie has been training very hard and she loves it even when she's too exhausted but it gives her just more hope and she just wants to push harder. This is the most important game yet, she's so excited. Even Zoe and Alma are excited too.

The basketball team Katie plays in is a part of a club organisation in her school. But it's not just a club, it's more like a class for those who wants to become athletes when they grow up. In the club there are many different groups one can join into. In the school there are also other clubs for instance for them who wants to become a scientist, artist or teacher, there's a club for almost anything. But you don't have to join any, this basketball thing is just very important for Katie. She feels like that's the only thing she's good at, the only thing helping her clear thoughts and the only thing helping her relax.

The girls are at school cafeteria right now, small talking. They are talking about the prom coming up.
Alma: so guys, who are you going with?
Zoe: uhm...*blushes*
Katie: *sighs* she will get to know anyways then...we are going with each other.
Alma: omg, how amazing!! Im so glad.
Zoe: you don't seem surprised?
Alma: why would I?
Zoe: I-...I don't know *hehe*
Katie: wait, did you know?
Alma: maybe...
Katie: how?
Alma: I uhm...have super hearing.
Zoe: yeah sure *small laugh*
Alma: okay then my guardian angel told me.
Katie: then...who are you going with?
Alma: uhm...no o-...I mean...a guy...
Katie: UuuUuh.
Zoe: so who's this guy?
Katie: what's his name? Does he go here? Is he tall? How old is he? Are you together?
Alma: wow wow wow slow down...his name is uhm *looks around*...Table-...Tab.
Katie: Table!?
Alma: uhh yeah...he's uhm...French.
Zoe: nice!
Katie: oh so where did you meet?
Alma: at a...beach....ugh okay forget it *smashes head on the table*, Tab doesn't exist, I don't have anyone to go with, I'm not coming.
*bell rings*
Zoe: Alma...we know Table doesn't exist, we were just teasing but why the heck wouldn't you come?
Katie: yeah, maybe you meet someone there *smirky face*.
Alma: I just don't feel like I would fit in.
Katie: I will force you to come because you're wrong in that, but know we have to hurry to our chemistry class.

~ After school ~

The girls are on their way home. Tomorrow is Katie's big day. The moment she have been wating for and training for so long.
Alma: so Katie, how do you feel about the game tomorrow?
Katie: I'm so excited, like I know already that I will not be able to sleep today due to too much excitement.
Zoe: I'm so proud of you Katie, I know how hard you've worked for this.
Katie: thanks *smiles*.
Alma: so the plan is that game starts at 15pm right? So we will be there at 13pm already to cheer for you and wishing you luck and then you go change at 14pm and you should be at the arena 10 minutes before the game starts, yeah?
Katie: for the fifteenth time, yess that's the plan.
Alma: just wanted to make sure.
Zoe: *smiles*.

Alma arrives at her house and Katie and Zoe continues to walk to their places. Without noticing suddenly they hold hands. When they notice that, both girls just blushes but doesn't say anything because they like it.
Zoe: okay my house is there so I should probably go, just one thing, can I give you a good luck hug?
Katie: why do you even ask? *Katie jumps right in Zoe's arms to hug her very tight*.
Zoe: oh *smiles and small laugh*
Katie: so, see ya tomorrow?
Zoe: ofc!
Katie: I will go train just a little yet today but then right to bed.
Zoe: sounds good! Byee.

Zoe went to her home and now it's just Katie walking home but on the way she goes to train just a little more before the last time before the match. Katie's teams name is SpeedWolfs and they are playing against Flashers which is in the top 5 of worlds best basketball teams.
