Chapter 9 The Cursed Necklace

(A/N First of all, I'm so sorry it took me ages to update and second of all, thank you so much for all of your suggestions! They were all great but I had to pick only one name.. It was difficult and I wish I could've used them all but.. I used the name suggestion PhantomxWolf suggested out of fate.)

Emmaline's POV

"Ok then." I snatched the necklace from her and rinsed it with the water from my secret paradise's pond. Suddenly, it glowed and I started seeing the entire history of the necklace and what it has done to people including my sister. It seems that its curse affected Ethan too. That's why he rejected me and acted like a jerk. The necklace's history played by and then it broke into a million pieces, raining what looked like glitter. Black dots suddenly invaded my vision and then I lost my consciousness.

I opened my eyes and saw my sister, Chloe smiling at me. "Wakey wakey, sis! Come on, I've made breakfast for us."

I got up from my comfortable bed, confused and followed her to the dining room. In there, I saw two plates filled with pancakes.

"Is this poisoned?" I asked.

Chloe gave me a weird look and said, "Of course not! Why would I poison my beloved sister? Besides, after all these years of making breakfast for you, why would I poison it now? What a weird, random question. You must be tired."

"Yeah.." I said, deciding to go along with it. We sat down and ate our breakfast. The pancakes were surprisingly very delicious. "Wow. These are awesome."

"Thanks!" Chloe smiled brightly.

I heard voices coming towards us. Looking up, I saw Ethan, Justin, Lucas and this guy I don't recognise.

"Hi, boys. Come join us!" Chloe gestured for them to sit with us.

"Sup." Ethan greeted Chloe then bent down and kissed me on the cheek out of habit. He then sat next to me and started wolfing down his food.

The guy I didn't recognise kissed Chloe on the forehead and sat next to her.

"What were you up to this morning?" Chloe asked him.

"Nothing.." He said suspiciously.

"Anthony.." Chloe gave him a look. "I won't give you some of this pancake if you don't tell me."

"It's nothing, I swear." He laughed.

I guess his name was Anthony. He glanced at me and mindliked 'Help me.'

'Why should I?' I mindlinked back.

'Because you promised that you would keep the secret.'

'What secret?'

'You know.. My plans on proposing to my one and only mate, Chloe?'

'Oh...' I said before blocking him out.

"Just leave the poor boy alone. He wouldn't dare doing anything bad." I told Chloe.

Chloe laughed and agreed.

After we finished our breakfast, we all went to the front yard to meet up with my friends who came from the Blood Moon Pack.

"I missed you. How was your sleepover with Megan?" I heard Justin whisper to Tiane.

"It was fun. I didn't miss you though." Tiane replied.

I noticed Justin's eyes turning black then Tiane laughed and said, "I'm just kidding."

Suddenly, I heard screams. Looking at the direction where the sound came from, I saw toddlers chasing each other. Megan and Amelia collected their kids and led them to the playground.
