Lyazia nervously chewed her bottom lip, sitting in the soft chair belonging to first class.

She'd sat with Bella, the human being in the middle as a type of shield from Alice. She didn't want to speak to her, see her. It was too painful.

The plane was about to land and the girls leg anxiously bounced up and down, trying to distract her mind from thinking the worst.

She stared out the window as the plane came to a stop on the roadway, the pilots voice informing them it was safe to stand and grab their luggage, that the flight attendant would open the door now.

Lyazia quickly tossed the bags in the carrier above her head at Alice, slipping past both her and Bella as she made her way down the steps and into the warm heat of Italy.

Alice caught sight of the bright yellow convertible in the corner and quickly led the two girls over "I hope you're not opposed to grand theft auto." She said quickly, smashing the window with a flick of her fingers and hopping in, quickly starting the vehicle and turning off the obnoxious horn.

Lyazia rolled her eyes and hopped in the back, bella besides her.

Alice zoomed through the streets, stopping with a frustrated sigh as the guards stopped her, no vehicles beyond this point.

"You'll have to run. It has to be you guys, he can't hear your minds. If I go he'll rush into it, think I'm lying. He's at the clock tower, go. Now." She urged, unlocking the doors and allowing the girls to hop out, they took a deep breath and raced through the crowd.

Saint de Marcos day, celebrating the vanquish if vampires in their country.

How ironic.

Lyazia was a few places ahead of Bella, clearing the way as she shoved and pushed people to the side, her eyes scanned around for the clock tower, finding it in the distance her and Bella picked up their pace, running side-by-side towards where they knew their mate to be.

Bella saw him first, un-buttoning his shirt and begining to slowly step into the light, his skin began sparkling lightly, two little kids catching sight of it immediately and start nudging their parents quickly.

Lyazia and Bella jumped into the fountain, running through the water and throwing themselves at Edward before he could fully step into the light and reveal himself.

"Edward!" They shouted, voices synced, dripping with worry and fear.

The man paused, thinking himself to be hallucinating but when he looked down and saw the two familiar figures he'd longed to see again he choked on a dry sob, unable to cry but just as cable of feeling the despair.

Lyazia pulled away from him when he returned the embrace, her mind once more closed off to him.

She didn't trust him anymore, he realized, a hurt feeling stabbing him in the heart as he looked at his sickly looking mate who he remembered to always have a healthy glow and wide smile on her face.

She didn't look like that now, no, her eyes had deep bags underneath them, her cheekbones slightly more prominent as if she hadn't been eating as much as usual, and her heartbeat, instead of the quick and healthy one he used to calm himself to it was slow, weak and painful to listen to.

Bella had pulled away moments later, standing besides her girlfriend, looking slightly less sickly but sickly nonetheless less.

"Oh, what a display!" A girl voice cooed sarcastically, voice dripping with venom.

Lyazias head snapped up as realization hit her, she'd saved Edwards life, but now she may lose hers. She couldn't use her powers, she couldn't defend herself here. She held her breath as her hands begun shaking.
