Wow, you knew nothing about karate but he certainly seemed good at it. If you were being honest, it looked more like clean fighting than anything.
He approached you after it ended, holding up his first place medal for you to see. "Your eyes were sparkling that whole time, you could have blinded me."
You jumped up to your feet, "that was so cool! You do this all the time?"
Hakuji snorted quietly, "Yeah. I wouldn't have a black belt otherwise." Slowly, he guided you from the dojo, "it wasn't too long was it?"
You shook your head, "I didn't even notice time passing."
He nodded with a soft laugh, "oh yeah? Well, if you're not tired, you want to go eat? I'm hungry."
After no more than a moment of pondering, you nodded, "yeah, let's." You didn't even think about what you were doing as you slipped your hand into his, it just felt natural.
You ended up at the same restaurant he had taken you to when you first met- officially that is.
"Hey, why did you stuck around as long as you did? Especially after you got the rematch you wanted?" You asked decidedly.
The male sort of just stared at you to the point you wondered if you shouldn't have asked, "urk- uh.. forget that I-"
"Because I liked you."
Now it was your turn to stare. "Huh-?"
He had propped his head in his hand and was looking away from you. "As annoying pushy you are, I couldn't help but have fun with you," he grumbled. Perhaps it was the pink dye in his hair playing tricks on you, but you could have sworn there was a faint blush on his face.
You were speechless. Honestly, what do you say in response to that? It could be interpreted as purely platonic as well.
"Sorry for the wait!" The wife in the pair of store owner's approached the table with your meals and placed it down for you both, saving you from needing to answer. You had never been bothered by her before, she was sweet with strangely colored pink and green hair. But for some reason when she came by today, you felt uneasy and a prickling at the back of your neck.
"Y/N, you're spacing out," Hakuji called. "I apologize if I bothered y-"
You shook your head and smiled, "no, you didn't. I just lost focus," you excused.

"Oh, looks like it's raining," The male grumbled as you both made your way out the restaurant. "Should we get a cab-?" Before he could finish that phrase, you ran out into the sour weather, laughing softly.
"What, are you afraid of water?" You called, pushing your quickly dampening hair.
The pinkette huffed at you before he ran out into rain himself. You simply took it as a challenge and began running away, back towards the campus.
"Did you expell all your energy in your tournament?" You taunted, making sure to avoid bumping into anyone who happened to be out in such weather this late into the evening.
"You got a headstart, don't you dare!" He snipped as he started to gain on you.
You hopped and skipped across the street and onto the school grounds, enjoying yourself and your teasing of the male. You almost forgot he was after you until you felt yourself slip on a puddle.
You were sure you'd hit the ground, but found yourself caught by the waist.
"Idiot! Be more careful, you could have hit your head," Hakuji shouted at you as he carefully helped you up.
