The Upper moon had forgotten how annoying humans could be. He had to walk slower than normal so that you could keep up. If he went at his full pace, he'd be far from the base of the mountains where your village sat by now.

It didn't help that you were injured either, sustaining wounds from before he even striked you and afterwards. He hadn't hit you that hard, at least he thought he didn't. You were moving as fast as you could despite the pain, lagging behind him like a lost dog.

You looked back on your home momentarily. You hadn't left it before now, and knew you wouldn't be coming back. There was nothing there for you now anyway. You were lucky enough to be allowed to bring a few things, your brother's haori and a hairpin your father gifted you. Both items you clutched tight in your hand.

As you both continued walking, Akaza grew more impatient. At this rate, you wouldn't make it to the next city before sunrise. He huffed, halting in his tracks and forcing you to skid to a stop.

"You are too slow, Y/N," he grumbled. Before you could even retort or claim you could go faster, he threw you over his shoulder.

"Uwah!" You held onto his arm tightly as he began to move faster. His speed was still shocking to you, even with the knowledge of him being demon. "Akaza sama, are all demons as fast as you?" You decided to ask. You wanted to know more about the world you were about to delve into.

"No. Many demons can only dream of being as fast as me," he laughed as if his answer should have been obvious to you.

"Oh, I see." You nodded a bit, So demons have different power levels. "If that's the case, who's the strong-GAH!" Your question was stopped by a swift pat to the rear.

"Shush. For a weakling who can't walk a town over on their own, you sure do have a lot of breath to speak," he huffed. You puffed your cheeks at that, your face pink from his previous gesture.

It was only two questions..., You thought to yourself.

You stayed quiet the rest of the trip, which was rather short, deciding it was best that you didn't piss off the demon.

Akaza placed you down when he arrived behind the building he brought you to. "Stay close," was all he said before beginning to walk to the door.

You obliged, your brother's haori strewn over your forearm, and your hairpin tucked into your sleeve securely. When you reached the front of the building, you saw that he had brought you to an inn. The area was much farther from your home than you anticipated. It was more urban and held many more people.

Your companion had no time nor interest in humoring your curiosity in the city, he entered the inn without even considering to hold the door for you, forcing you to do it yourself. This led to some confusion with the old innkeeper, who assumed you two had come separately rather than together.

"One room," The male didn't give the old woman a chance to say hello, good evening, what brings you here, or how are you.

"R-right..." she produced a key for him, taking the money when he handed it over. "And what about you?" She asked, turning her attention to you.

"Uhm-"

"They're with me," Akaza huffed as he took you by the arm and lead you away from the baffled innkeeper. His grip was firm, even though he had no need to hold on so tight.

The room was spacious, with a single bed, a nightstand, a lamp, and some drawers. It was bigger than where you used to sleep, you noted.

The demon released you once the door was closed. He sat crisscross on the bed, "You, undress, now," he said simply.
