Chapter 16

"Happy birthday!" Everyone greets Olivia as soon as she enters the hotel function hall.

As a planned, these party isn't just a farewell party, cause today is also her birthday. Walang bumati sa kanya kahit isa sa mga kaibigan, even her Mom. It was part of the plan.

Kailan ba sya huling nag-celebrate ng birthday nya? Years or a year ago? Dahil ayaw nya. Inayawan na nya.

Alex and Gesille planned it all for Olivia. The last time they've celebrated her birthday, was when the gang flew to US.

Her lips formed into an "O" and her eyes became watery.

"Happy birthday," heard from everyone she passes by as she walks inside.

Nilibot ng mga mata ang kabuuhan ng silid. Her company's staffs and employees' there. Some familiar faces from the business industry, colleagues and her best friends. Hindi sila mawawala dahil sila nga mismo ang nagplano ng lahat.

"Thank you! Thank you guys." She uttered, emotionally.

"I thought, it's just a farewell party!" She exclaimed as she felt overwhelmed.

Smiles on their faces, nagsilapit ang iba para personal na batiin ang isa. Her colleagues greets her and even gave her warm hugs.

"Happy birthday, honey!" Kristina, her mother greets her and pulled her for a warm hug.

"Thank you, Mommy! Kaya pala you never greet me ha." She mumbled.

Kahit naman kase hindi sya nagc-celebrate ay hindi naman 'yon nakakalimutan ng ina, o ng kapatid, maging ang mga kaibigan.

"I'm sorry, hon. Para di halata diba?" Kristina said and smirked.

"Eeehh!" Olivia whined and stump her feet as she hug Kristina again. Natawa naman sila dahil doon.

"Happy birthday, Tin!" The gang happily exclaimed.

Ikinulong pa nila si Olivia sa mga yakap nila. A tears of joy fell from her eyes and pouts her lips.

"You don't have to do these! Farewell 'to eh!" She whimpers.

"No way! Birthday party 'to, mamaya, lalabas si Jollibee dito." Alex jested that made all of them laughed. Olivia hit his arm and mouthed 'Baliw'.

"But really, thank you for doing this." She earnestly said.

"Happy birthday, Tin." Olivia turned her head to the other side.

She smiled as she saw Mrs. Ledisma standing beside Vann. Mrs. Ledisma went near her and eloped her inside her arms.

"Thank you, Ma. Thank you for coming." She whispered. Mrs. Ledisma rubbed her back. As if she is soothing her.

"Of course, Tin. Hindi ko palalampasin ang pagkakataong ito." Mrs. Ledisma replied. She kissed Olivia's cheek and hugged her again. Olivia smiled.

"Eheemmmm!! Mawalang galang na po, 'no? Baka ho kase nagugutom na 'yong mga bisita. Mamaya na ho tayo mag-iyakan. And Tita, na-miss rin ho namin kayo! Bakit si Tin lang may paganyang yakap?" Alex jested. Natawa sila at humiwalay naman ang pagkakayapos ng dalawa.

"Alexis, hindi ka pa rin nagbabago!" Mrs. Ledisma commend.

"Walang magbabago sa pamilyang ito, Tita!" Gesille back-up Alex to Mrs. Ledisma.

The banters went on and on, that's when Kristina interjects.

"C'mon! Let's start the party!" She exclaimed. Olivia just chuckled and shakes her head.

The party went on, fine and everyone's enjoying. She entertains all of her guests by greeting them all personally and have a small talk with them. Wala syang pinalampas ni isang grupo sa loob ng function hall.
