Chapter 7

"CHRISTOPHER!!!" Bucks' loud scream sends shivers down Eddie's spine and he is up and away from the table in seconds.

He makes his way towards the back where some staff have gathered to stop Eddie moving on.

"Sorry sir, you can't go back there." The woman says.

"Look, I'm a first responder from LA, I'm medically trained and I could help." Eddie explains.

"Look you maybe but the answer is still no, look we know our friend he is ok with his friend." The woman explains.

"You don't know him, I do." Eddie states and can see the shock on the woman's face.

"You must be mistaken sir." The lady explains and Eddie can't be arsed, arguing and grabs his phone, opening it up and loading a picture of the three of them.

"Tell me it's not him in this picture then?" Eddie states.

"Eddie, we said we had to tread carefully." Carlos voice calls from behind.

"I'm sorry but you can't expect me to sit there when he's calling out Chris's name." Eddie says, looking at Carlos.

"Look madam im Austin pd, these are firefighters of Austin so we can help." Carlos says, showing his badge.

"I mean, this is very complicated, and it was obvious he doesn't remember you and this will upset him so much, " she says.

"We understand. But let us check on him and we promise not to mention we know him." Carlos explains.

"Wait here." The lady explains.

Eddie watches a sthe girl disappears in the back, his hands are twitching like mad he just wanted to get in the back and touch Buck. Then the guilt that Buck was alive and here in texas, how did he even get here.

"Hey, I'm going to call TK, let him know what's happened." Carlos says.

"Ok, make sure he doesn't let Chris hear, and tell him not to tell anyone in LA." Eddie states.

"I will do."

Eddie felt guilty for telling him not to tell people in LA but they had all declared Buck was gone, Eddie wasn't going let them rush in and take what time he could have with Buck away.

They stand round for ages with no sign of anything happening in the back and then there's a sound of screeching tyres from outside they turn and see a woman charging in and heading straight to them.

"Who are you?" The woman demands.

"I'm Eddie, a firefighter from LA, these are my friends from the Austin fire department and Carlos from the Austin PD. Look I don't know how he got here but I know that's my best friend Buck." Eddie explains.

The woman looks at them all and nods, Carlos walks back over and smiles as he flashes his badge and the woman seems to relax more.

"Sorry, it's just Oliver has been through a lot and we want to keep him safe. But at least maybe he can get answers." She explains Eddie couldn't help but wonder what they meant by keeping him safe.

"Can I see him, he sounded in distress." Eddie questions.

"Ok, but rules, don't say you know him, let him figure it out for himself otherwise he will run. I will be there watching you as well." She states.

"Fine." Eddie says, at least this way he could check him out closer.

She nods and Eddie walks off in the direction she hints at and walks through the back and see's Buck sitting with someone looking terrified.
