"Fuck." I yell, kicking a rock. We came back to find Gale, impaled on a fence, his breathing was slow. "Fuck fuck. Why the fuck weren't you looking out for him?" I grab the girl, Maggie, I believe, and shake her.

"S-she was, t-there was one of them. I freaked out and tripped."

We haven't lost any one other than Jane in a long time. This will be hard on the group. I listen to Gale's laboured breathing, before he passes.

I sigh and press the button on the radio. "Gale's dead. We need to bury him. 11 Dawn street. Hurry. Over."

Maggie and Daryl are talking, over by the house.

"Daryl I knew you cared about Beth. As her sister I know the most about loving her. But we need to move passed this, for the group. We've got new people, and they've just suffered. We can't be selfish." Maggie says, putting a hand on his shoulder.

I look back at Gale and sigh. He was a good guy, not the kind of person I'd usually be friends with but, the same applies to the entirety of our group. Suddenly his eyes slowly open. "G-gale?" I stutter. His eyes are not normal colours. He swipes at me with his arm.

"Jesus." I jump back, and stab my knife into his head.

"You okay?" Daryl says, running up to me.

"Yeah, but what the fuck. He died. Why did he come back?" I notice that rest of the group had returned and have started to dig a hole.

"You don't know?" Daryl asks. I shake my head. "Everyone is infected. You die, you turn, simple as that, unless we put something through your brain. You guys have been out here this long. How have you not known?"

"Well, our RV's pretty handy at getting us away," Mr. White explains, " and Jane, well she was eaten-"

"What?" Jesse yells seething with anger. "You told me she was bit, and you shot her. What the fuck, bitch."

Jesse runs into the house, I can see tears coming out of his eyes. I start to follow him. I turn to the group.

"Finish the sweep, then meet us back at the place we're staying at. We'll be there soon."

I head inside and find Jesse, in a bedroom, the shades are drawn, casting a purple colour on the walls. I sit down next to him, and put my hand on his back, he cuddles up to me, I can feel his sobs, wrecking through his body.

"I'm sorry about Jane." I struggle to find the words to use. "We tried to save her, she got grabbed and there were too many coming. But, I managed, to find something, that'll make you happy." I pull the meth, gotta be an ounce at least, out of my bag and toss it at Jesse.

"Where'd you find this?" He asks eyeing the meth.

"Some dead dude. It was in his pocket." I explain.

Jesse takes a rock out, eyes it, then gets to work crushing it, and inhaling it.

"Want some?" He points at the pile.

"Nah, I'm already high." I lay down on the bed. "Had some in a bedroom that looked just like this."

Jesse lies down beside me. "What else did you do?"

"Nothing." I say.

"Liar, your lip twitched, that always happens when you lie. Jessica what the hell?" He maliciously accuses.
