TW: ED SIMILAR STUFF & S/H IMPLIED STUFF

Jean sat at the desk, her hand resting on her forehead. Her elbow started to ache from how long she had been in the same position. She had sat at the desk all day, and midnight approached. Dark circles laid underneath her eyes while she kept gazing into empty space.
Jean's eyelids twitched as she heard the door to her office creak open. The sound of heels on the polished floorboards rang in her ears. As it grew nearer and nearer, she blinked more often, regaining most of her consciousness. A hand gently grabbed her jaw, and lifted it up so that they were able to see each other. The tall brunette stood above her with a concerned look on her face.
"Lisa... I can't." Jean spoke, trying to hold her voice together. She took a deep breath and gazed into Lisa's eyes, "It's-"
"I know, for Mondstadt. I understand." Lisa interrupted.
"I just, Lisa, please-" The blonde pled.
"For the best."
"Lisa..."
"But..." Lisa glanced out the window, "what about yourself? You should think about what you want."
"Lisa, you know I don't have time for that. I need to do my work, and in fact, I should do some now- and it's late, so you should probably go and... and rest." Jean rambled on, her eyes becoming watery.
"Jean, you have too much weight on your back, you need to-"
"Lisa, it's not too much, really I-" Jean interrupted her, speaking at a rapid pace. Lisa attempted multiple times to slip her way between Jean's words, "Jean-", "But you really should, because..." "I-", "and it's no use, really, it's-"...
"Jean Gunnhildr!" Lisa shouted. The blonde had a terrified look painted on her face. The librarian let go of her, stepping back ever so slightly. Her heart sank, she immediately regretted raising her voice at Jean.
"Jean, I..." Lisa started, but the other woman only shifted her gaze elsewhere and lowered her head.
"Lisa, just go. Please." She demanded in the most polite way she could, her voice cracking. The librarian nodded, and stepped out by the door, "I'm sorry." The sound of the door closing was enough for Jean to break down. She burst into tears, refraining from bursting out by shouting. The librarian stood outside her door, she could feel her heart snapping into pieces as the woman slammed her fists on her desk and cried out loud.
It was a long night.
Morning had arrived, and Jean dove right into the papers. Previously, she had got up to lock the door to fully indulge in her duties. The pen glid over paper, nothing but silence and occasional stepping outside her office engulfed her area. She raised her head, grabbing the empty cup on her desk and setting it back down when she saw nothing inside. She didn't bother to get anything to eat, as "work was more important"; or perhaps it was to distract herself from last night. Anything. She would do anything.
Hours passed.
One day.
Two days.
Jean was exhausted, her sight was deteriorating as she constantly felt the need to faint. She didn't eat, and she didn't even drink any coffee. The pen fell out of her grasp as she gently swayed and sat back on her chair. Brief sounds of knocking and banging on the door emit from outside. Jean sat still. Two figures burst into her office, but before Jean could see, her eyes shut.
She found herself drenched on her face, two tall figures standing above her. Their visions glowed, she could make out what they were based on the faint colour. Cryo and Electro. She immediately sat up, taking in deep breaths. Kaeya and Lisa.
"Jean, are you alright? I grabbed medical supplies for you." Kaeya spoke, his soft voice growing more concerned. The cryo user set the box down and the librarian placed a glass of water on her desk. Jean only looked to the side with a depressed look on her face. However, that fell in the past quick.
"Don't worry darling, I will take care of Jean." Lisa said softly, her hand trailing down Kaeya's arm as she walked away. Jean felt as if she had been stabbed in the stomach. Lisa's flirty sentence repeated in her head. "Darling?" She thought to herself. The librarian looked into her eyes, but Jean shot a glare back instead. Jean felt her heart shattering, as Lisa could tell she was upset. Jean being jealous didn't mix well with her irritation. She shot up off the floor, standing up.
"I have work to do. I'll be fine. Leave." She spat. Before she could take it back, Lisa was out of the room.
Jean clenched her fists. She felt herself form tears as she knew what she had to do.
