TW: Cursing, murder

USA awoke and quickly got out of bed to get ready. He hurriedly closed and locked the bathroom door and took a shower. He touched his face where Canada had once touched. He shivered under the hot water thinking about how different Canada looked.

Canada woke up and rubbed his eyes tiredly. He got up and walked downstairs to the living room, once there he turned on the news. The news reporter spoke about China's body it seems they can't find a culprit.

"Hey Canada, didn't know you'd be up." America appeared next to the couch where Canada sat. Canada noticed America purposely looking away and playing with the collar of his shirt.

"I gotta get going soon so I decided I could have some more time to get ready. Anything on your mind...?" Canada saw America's face light up and turn a bit red.

"Yeah, er..." America paused, "do you remember last night? Well, can we just keep that between us?"

Canada thought for a moment, "last night..? What hap- shit." Canada internally cursed. "Just play it off..."

"Last night? I don't really remember in all honesty. What happened?" Canada put on his innocent persona.

"I- uh." America looked away, "you kissed me while we were in the kitchen. You must not have been fully awake then ha.." America let out a nervous smile. Canada liked this nervous side of his brother usually he's very cocky.

"Ohh, sorry about that! I must not have been in my right mind." Canada watched America take a sigh of relief.

"Thank god! I was really dreading this talk!" America smiled his usual show stopping smirk. "I'm gonna go to the store. Leave whenever, okay?" America went to get his car keys and left the house to Canada.

Canada smiled while America left and waved. His smile dropped, however, once he saw America's car leave the driveway.

Canada's dull expression now in full viewing, he watched the news. He crooked a smile watching the news reporters act panicked. He turned his attention towards to the many pictures on America's wall. They were photos of America's friends and family. He got off the couch and made his way to America's room to snoop around.

Canada opened his brother's nightstand drawer, nothing out of the ordinary. He moved to the closet and found a shirt Japan gave America awhile ago. Canada rolled his eyes and took the shirt, he'll find a use for it later. Canada finally looked under the bed and saw a box. He curiously took the box from under the bed and saw that it was addressed to Mexico from USA. He opened the box and saw it was a gift. There was a letter tucked away under a photo in the box. Canada opened the letter and read it.

"What the fuck." Canada's hands crumpled the paper unconsciously, his face was red from his anger. "Those lying pieces of-" Canada stood up and smashed the box in on itself using his foot. He shouted obscenities while destroying the gift. It wasn't until Canada's tantrum stopped when he realized the box was now nothing more than a flat, broken piece of junk.

Canada picked up the fragments of the gift and left the house peacefully, as if nothing ever occurred. He got into his own car and drove to his home. Once there, Canada got out of the car and took the crumpled gift and shirt with him inside. He took out his phone and shot a simple text towards Mexico.

"Wanna watch a movie? We can invite America over and surprise him." Canada could feel this awful side of him growing, soon to consume him whole. Or was he perhaps always this way?

"K lol. 1 hour from now good?" Mexico responded. Canada texted back sure and turned off his phone. Now it was time to wait.

Mexico stood on Canada's doorstep, tapping his foot. "Hello?!" Mexico yelled. The front door quickly opened and Canada seemed a bit more nervous than he usually is.

"Come in! Sorry, I was busy making popcorn." Canada smiled and let Mexico inside. Mexico plopped down onto the sofa in the living room and picked up the TV remote on the coffee table. He went onto the movies tab and looked for horror movies. Canada put popcorn into a bowl and watched as Mexico picked a movie about a mass murderer.

"This good?" Mexico asked, signaling towards the movie.

"Yeah, sure! Go ahead and start it. I'm going to use the bathroom, okay?" Canada walked up to Mexico and gave him the popcorn. Mexico shook his head up and down and Canada left for the bathroom.

Mexico casually watched the movie and threw popcorn into his mouth, only focused on the movie. Canada, on the other hand, was focused on different things. He grabbed the shirt he stole and slowly walked near the living room, watching to see if Mexico would notice him. Once undetected, he moved closer behind the sofa where Mexico sat.

Canada's hands trembled in anticipation, his eyes were wide and bloodthirsty. His hands gripped the shirt and, in one swift move, attacked Mexico. He shoved the shirt down Mexico's throat. Mexico choked and desperately scratched at Canada's hands to stop, but to no avail. Canada's eyebrows furrowed as his full anger unleashed, "He's mine." Canada said assertively and he shoved the shirt further down poor Mexico's throat. Mexico gasped desperately for air, his eyes were glazed over with tears and his nails made deep cuts on Canada's hands and arms. Canada smirked as he watched Mexico, a man who he considered a friend, fight for his life. Mexico's arms soon stopped scratching and went limp. His eyes finally relaxed and his chest let out one last obstructed breath.

Canada stood there for a bit, marveling at his victim. Canada took his hand out from Mexico's mouth but left the shirt lodged in his throat. Canada quickly washed his hands and arms and looked at the scratch marks all over his arms. He'll have to bandage those up later. Canada looked outside, maybe he'll bury Mexico out by his maple tree. Canada let out a sweet smile while daydreaming how America will react, knowing his poor secret boyfriend broke up with him mysteriously and said he'd found another. Canada giggled while imagining the scene, how he would swoop in as an angel at the perfect time.

Canada dried his hands and searched Mexico's body, and took his phone. He unlocked it with ease since Mexico shared his phone password previously. He opened Mexico's texts with America and typed posing as Mexico.

"I'm sorry America but we're breaking up. I can't stand it anymore I love someone else and you can't change my mind. Don't contact me ever again I need to be alone for a bit." Canada sent the text and blocked America.

Canada gathered the destroyed gift, the body, and the phone and carried it all out into the vast forests around Canada's home. He found a peaceful maple tree. Taking out a shovel, he dug a deep hole and carelessly tossed the body in the hole along with the other items. He spit on what was in the pile before quickly covering the hole with dirt and patting the placed dirt down.

Canada stepped back and admired his work, Canada left pleased and walked back to his home, taking in the nice scenery. Once he got home it was turning dusk. Canada sat down in the spot where Mexico once sat and finished the horror movie and popcorn. As Canada dosed off, he got a text. It was from America.

"Mind if we get coffee tomorrow?"
