"Sign-in System?"

Vince called out absent-mindedly. He blinked his eyes a few times as if he heard it wrong.

While he focused on the voice, his battered body was already fully healed with no traces of bruises left.

"Did that old man made a prank on me? But the voice sounded like a female."

After a while, the voice never appeared again. Vince then shook his head and only then he noticed the changes on his body. He stood up and observed his body and the surroundings.

Vince frowned slightly.

'Unbearable smell. There's also me. I feel like this body did not took a bath after who knows how many days.'

Vince never cared about the previous owner of his body since the old man told him that the soul of the body already went to the cycle of reincarnation.

Vince expression changed when he discovered that he was in a dungeon where he was locked up. He also heard some murmurs nearby cells like somebody was also detained.

'Prison.'

Vince muttered in a low voice and he slowly sat down cross-legged. He has no idea what place he ended up. He pursed his lips as he silently cursed the old man for sending him to a wonderful place.

Suddenly, a bright screen like a computer monitor appeared in front of him. The screen popped a series of words.

(Ding! Received a giftbox to welcome the host. Will be automatically stored in the system storage.)

(Ding! It is noontime. Does host want to sign-in now?)

"Is this a prank?" Vince knitted his brows. Sensing that the system did not reply, he asked again, "Who are you? How do I sign-in?"

Although Vince was suspicious, he still played with the system. After all, he had a weird conversation with that old man called God of Reincarnation.

Vince' heart skipped a beat as his eyes turned red in agitation as he shouted, "I wish to see my son! Bring my son back to me!"

He threw the ordinary looking mask to the side like a trash as he stood up with expectation written all over his face. Tears welled-up on his eyes as he waited for the system to respond.

However, the system's reply was opposite to his assumption.

Vince had a crestfallen look upon hearing the system. He now wondered if someone tried to prank on him. However, upon receiving the mask earlier, he decided to give the system another chance.

"State the alternatives."

(Ding! Due to the host having a special unidentified curse, everyone connected to the host either blood or soul will perish without reincarnation after one year in their soul state.)

(Ding! There are 25 soul counts that connected to the host in the previous life. These souls currently in the possession of Emperor of Death - the sole ruler of the underworld. Time limit before these soul dissipates - 364 days.)

(Ding! First alternative : One of the souls, which is the host's son will be retrieved and the host will find a way to remake the fleshly body. Wish effect - Emperor of Death will detect an anomaly in his domain.)

(Ding! Second alternative : Forcefully reincarnate the target in random places in the universe. The host will find a way to seek his son. Wish effect - Emperor of Death will detect an anomaly in his domain.)

Vince frowned tightly.

'I don't think this can be considered a wish. However, this is better than nothing.'

He was silent for a while and asked.

"Can you retrieve all of them as my first alternative?"

Vince kept his cool this time and did not immediately made a wish. He asked, "How can I upgrade the system?"

"I want to choose the first alternative. I want to see even if it is the soul of my son."

In the end, Vince made a decision to see his beloved son.

Choosing to upgrade the system needed him five wishes to gather them all and complete the mission. It may took him a week or so, but he couldn't stand to wait for his son even for a second.

He wanted to meet his son so badly that even if the system offers him great treasure that can rule the universe - he will still choose to see his son. No matter what it takes.

Vince ignored the system prompt as his eyes glued to the glowing crystal-like thing that sized of a thumbnail which floated in the air.

His trembling hands slowly reached out as tears poured out from his eyes.

Inside the crystal contained a tiny soul which seems to be in deep sleep.

"Son..."

Vince somehow felt the familiar warmth of the crystal and called out slowly. He then began to drown himself in Indignation and heartache.

He knew everything happens because of him. His cursed fate is the cause for the demise of his innocent loved ones.

The previous countless lives he had also experienced the same thing. If those previous lives memories were to be unlocked, he might gone crazy by now.
