Chapter 15: Nightmare

I avoid making eye contacts with Kai.

"Aranya." Kai calls me.

"Look at me." He says. He grabs my chin. Sparks flying all over my body, I take a look at him.

"We are not gonna do anything tonight." He says.

"Why?" I ask. He smirks.

"Why?" He repeats.

"Yeah. Why?" I ask.

"Because you don't seem ready to me." He says. If I say I am ready and he still says no I will feel hurt and if I say I am it's like agreeing with him and telling him I am not ready.

I don't know it just feels like he has built a wall between us. Like there is something between us stopping us from completely becoming one.

I run to the bathroom locking the door. Not confirming nor denying what he has said.

After taking a shower I come back seeing Kai on his phone. He checks me out, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

"Talked to Dillon my beta. He will take care of things till we come back." He says going to the shower. I change into a short and a shirt going to bed. Great we have to share a bed. That's if he doesn't sleep on the couch to avoid me.

I am running in the jungle and it's midnight. I run and run but no matter how much I run I end up in the same spot in front of my fathers castle.

I try again and I bump into someone. I look up and it's my father. He grabs me harshly, shaking me.

"Aranya. Run as much as you like but in the end you will end up with me. I will show you the consequences of your deeds. No witch and mate and pack will be able to stop me." He growls bringing his cane up and smashing his cane into the side of my face.

"Aranya calm down." Kai says shaking me. I gasp. Grabbing the side of my face.

"It hurts." I say shuffling around gasping. The place he has smashed the cane into hurts so much. It's like it's on fire.

"What's wrong? Calm down and tell me." He says grabbing my hands trying to bring them down.

"No." I whimper.

"He was there. He said he will make me face the consequences." I say shaking my head.

"You are with me. You are safe." He says.

"It hurts." I say. He grabs my hands bringing them down.

"Fuck." He curses.

"What?" I ask.

"It looks burned. Why isn't healing?" He asks.

"Wolfsbane, silver and witches." Destiny murmurs. I repeat it to Kai.

I hear someone knocking on the door. Kai goes to the door and opens it after checking who is it.

"What's wrong? I sensed something. Ok I heard something. Her gasp and whimpers were audible for the whole country." He mumbles. He sees my face and gasps.

"What happened to her? What did you to her?" He asks furious.

"My father did it not him. Is it the bad?" I ask trying to touch it by Kai stops me. It hurts so bad.

"I feel like it's on fire." I say pointing to my side of face.

"It looks like it." Alvin says. I get up pacing around.

"What are you doing?" Kai asks.

"Give me a dagger." I scream grabbing the side of my face.

"What? What do you want to do with a dagger?" He asks. I look around finding one in my bag.

"Peeling my skin off." I say pointing the dagger to my face but before I could actually do it Kai grabs me from behind taking the dagger from me and throwing it away.

"Let me go." I mumble. Wiggling in his embrace.

"It hurts. It's burning I can't." I say.

"Drink my blood." Alvin says.

"What?" I whisper but he hears it anyway.

"Drink my blood. My blood will help with it." He says.

"It's a witch thing." I say.

"So? It's a witch thing for a werewolf not a vampire." He says. Grabbing the dagger and slicing his wrist open.

"Here." He says. Bringing his wrist to my mouth.

"No." Kai says grabbing his wrist looking around. He brings a cup and holds his wrist over the cup. After a few seconds he brings the cup to my lips.

"Her lips won't touch your wrist." Kai says.

"Whatever." Alvin rolls his eyes.

After drinking his blood I felt like someone has thrown water on the burning fire on my face. I sigh closing me eyes.

"Just so you know I will be able to hear your thoughts so please don't have sexual thoughts about him." He says pointing to Kai. Great that's what I needed.

"For my sake." Alvin adds.

"Ok." I smile and mumble, going to the bed.

"Good night." I say going under the sheets and closing my eyes.

"Well that was weird." Alvin mumbles going toward the door. Hearing the door getting closed I felt Kai coming to bed grabbing my waist and pulling me to his chest.

"Are you ok?" He asks. I nod. He kisses my cheek.

"Good night." He whispers.

I wake up in Kais embrace. I look at his face wishing he would tell me what's stopping us from being with each other.

I try to get up but he tightens his hold on my waist.

"Let me go." I say.

"Never." He mumbles. I giggle.

"Seriously we should get going." I say. He kisses my neck getting up and going to the bathroom.

After getting ready we went down for breakfast. On our way down I knock on Alvins door. He opens the door after five minutes.

Five minutes of Kai telling me we should leave him here. He seems tired.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"What's wrong? I don't know maybe the fact that your thoughts were connected to me so all I had on my mind till now was your father. If I ever see him I will either pee in my pants or rip his throat open and kill him like an animal. I will really kill your father If have the opportunity." He says with a glare.

"Ok. Get ready for the breakfast." I say.

"You are so cheerful for someone who had his monster of father on his mind, all night long." He says.

"You will get used to it." I say with a smile. He looks horrified and closes the door in my dace.

Kai grabs my hand brings me to his side and kisses the top of my head.

We grab ourselves some breakfasts and take a seat by the window. Five minutes later Alvin joins us.

"So what's our plan for today?" I ask.

"Goblins." Kai replies.
