There's a darkness you can't see.
It's hidden deep inside of me.
I say "I'm fine" so you won't know
How close I am to letting go.
I held on for as long I could.
You try to help, I wish it would.
There's many times you've said you knew
Exactly what I'm going through.
You do not know and never will
It's like all time is standing still.
My soul is stuck and can't break free,
It's not how you taught me to be.
I feel ashamed and cannot speak
About the scars. I was too weak.
I'm fading fast, but you should know
I never want you to let go.
