Sasuke impatiently tapped his foot on the floor. He was currently in the waiting room at the doctor's office, waiting to get the cast off of his arm.
Sasuke had been extremely restless when it came to Naruto ever since they met the lawyer the other day. The image of Naruto's broken spirit seemed to haunt Sasuke's core recently. Naruto had requested to be dropped off at the track so he could run while Sasuke was at the doctor.
Though he wanted to say no, Sasuke couldn't resist the pleading look in those pools of blue that captivated him. The raven had a hard time ever saying no to the blond. He wanted Naruto to feel in control of his life and his decisions. Naruto had at least promised he wouldn't go anywhere else, which set Sasuke's mind somewhat at ease.
"Uchiha, Sasuke?"
Sasuke's attention shot over to the nurse that called his name. Going through the motions, he answered all questions about how he was feeling as they made their way to his room.
"The doctor will be with you shortly" the nurse smiled as she bowed and closed the door, leaving Sasuke alone with his thoughts again.
Laying back on the table, he let out a sigh, closing his eyes. He frowned as the image of the broken Naruto came to mind. It seemed like every time he closed his eyes, that is all he could see.
He was starting to forget what Naruto looked like when he smiled anymore. Though it had only been a couple of days, Naruto went back into his shell and put his walls back up after that night. Just when Sasuke felt they were making process, he seemed to get pushed back 4 steps.
No matter what he was doing, where he was, who he was talking to, only one thought crossed his mind.
Naruto.
It was to the point that he would mention Naruto in just about any conversation he was having with someone. If it wasn't about the blond, he honestly just didn't care.
Sasuke was struggling to understand what all of this meant. Sure, Naruto was his best friend, but was it normal for your best friend to be the only thing that you thought about?
Hearing a knock at the door, Sasuke sat back up. He rolled his eyes as he let out a sigh.
"Can we get this over with already? I have somewhere to be"

Naruto slowed his pace as he felt the exhaustion take over. Though he didn't push himself to the point of collapsing, he was still pushing his limits.
Coming to a stop, he leaned over, placing his hands on his knees as he rapidly panted. His lungs felt like they were on fire.
Wiping the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, Naruto glanced at his phone to check the time.
Sasuke had demanded that Naruto get a new phone with a new number when he had gotten released from the hospital. Naruto had refused, several times, but that didn't stop the raven. He had bought a new phone and held onto it until Naruto finally caved, a couple of days before they met the lawyer. Sasuke had given Naruto an ultimatum: take the phone, or not be allowed to go anywhere alone.
Naruto wasn't a fan of having a phone anymore, though he didn't have any social media and only a couple of contacts. The only people who had his number where Sasuke, Iruka, Kakashi, and now Inoichi.
About to place his phone back into his pocket, Naruto paused as he felt the vibration. He felt a chill go down his spine as a harsh wind blew out of nowhere. Suddenly, he felt his palms begin to sweat. He couldn't shake the feeling that suddenly overwhelmed him.
