A.N: Trigger warning- Self harm

**

"On the count of assault in the second degree, we the jury find the defendant..."

Off white ceiling with water stains and nauseating florescent lights.

"On the count of murder in the first degree, we find the defendant...."

Drab walls with awful eggshell colored paint.

"On the count of rape in the first degree, we find the defendant..."

27 days, 10 hours, 41 minutes, 15 seconds... 16.. 17... 18...

"Naruto"

Uninterested blue eyes glanced over, looking over toward the man who spoke, but never made eye contact.

"Do you want to share today?"

Without a word, Naruto looked away, turning his head to the clock on his right.

27 days, 10 hours, 43 minutes...

"Alright everyone, we will end the group session here for today. Thank you to those who chose to share today. Naruto, wait a minute" the voice called out, causing Naruto to sigh as he was almost out the door already.

Tense shoulders turned around as Naruto crossed his arms over his chest. He shuffled his feet across the floor, clearly not in a hurry to have this conversation.

"Do you ever plan to get out of here?" the voice asked, gently, but annoyed.

Naruto shrugged. He knew the voice was that of his councilor, but he had no idea what the man looked like. Ever since that day, Naruto had completely shut down. He stopped looking up from the ground, he stopped eating, he stopped sleeping, he stopped talking, and most importantly, he stopped feeling.

"I talked to Sasuke today.."

Naruto frowned at the mention of the raven. It was at that point, that he stopped listening. It was the same thing every time.

No progress... unhealthy... coping... unfortunate...victim..

"He wrote you another letter... maybe you can open it this time?"

Naruto felt his heart sink a little as his eyes came into contact with a white envelope. Why hadn't he given up yet? Naruto hadn't responded to a single one of the letters... He hadn't even opened any of them. Truth is, he was scared to. He didn't want to know what words were written on those papers... Not after what happened to land Naruto here in the first place.

Naruto bit his bottom lip, feeling the tip of his tongue graze over his dry and cracked lips. That haunting image threatening to creep back into the forefront of his mind. The one image that caused Naruto to refuse to look up again. A look that shattered the rest of Naruto's existence.

"It's been almost a month, Naruto. And you are no closer to healing than you where when you first came here."

Naruto shifted uncomfortably. He knew all too well how long it had been. 27 days, 10 hours, and 55 minutes now.

"You can go" the voice stated, disappointment evident.

The sound of Naruto's feet shuffling, echoed through the now empty room. The more he kept going, the more it hurt. Just like always, he had let everyone down around him. He felt his bottom lip tremble as he squeezed himself tighter.

'I need it..'  the almost comforting thought kept replaying in his mind. Anything to forget the grotesque look on the once handsome face.

Finally making his slow shuffle back to his room, Naruto sat down on his bed. A room which was just as drab and boring as the one he had just left. A room with no doors, a window that was bared from the inside, two beds that felt like metal slates, the stale smell of a hospital that always lingered in the air, and a feeling that left Naruto beyond defeated.
