Chapter two

                                                                                The time between

In the months following the War the village was finally peaceful for the first time since team 7 and the rest of the Konaha 11 were formed. Naruto continued his journey to become Hokage under Kakashi's guidance. Sakura was promoted to Jonin, and head doctor in the Konoha hospital 11 months after the War. The rest of the Konaha 11 was doing well, Ino still worked at her mother's flower shop but mostly focused on her and Sai's relationship. Shikamaru, Shino, Choji, and Sai still worked full time as Ninjas. Lee worked hard as a genin teacher while also helping Tenten. Tenten works and owns her own weapon shop. Kiba Started being a village guard (he does patrol, guard the gates, stuff like that). Hinata, like Naruto, is also taking lessons but these are to train her to one day become head of her clan.

All of the living Konoha 11 are working and doing what they really love, except one. Sasuke Uchiha, said the man is being held underground till he was to be released. Sakura and Naruto will visit him from time to time, never being allowed to be there alone, or long.

After 18 long months, Uchiha Sasuke was released from the dark depths of Konoha. "I'll be blunt. By rights, you should be in prison right now." Hataka Kakashi tells his ex-student who is standing opposite of Kakashi ready to leave the village.

"But we have heard your plea, and all your actions up to now have been pardoned. Breaking the Jutsu for the Infinite Tsukuyomi played a big part in the decision." he continued, "as well as the fact i happened to become the sixth Hokage, And that Naruto, the key in ending the war, testified on your behalf."

The boy looked at a pinked haired woman, who stood next to kakashi. Expecting her to confess her love, or ask to come with her, or... or. Or anything. But it never came. She stood there, saying nothing. In fact she looked conflicted.

"Don't do anything reckless Or I will be held responsible, do you understand?" Sasuke nodded silently, still looking at Sakura. Waiting... for her to say anything. Do Anything.

Kakashi and Sasuke continued to discuss what Sasuke could and could not do. Sakura stood there thinking about all the wrongs sasuke did to her. Actually the only reason she was even there is because Naruto and Kakashi asked to see him off in Naruto's absence.

"Sakura..." a voice broke through her thoughts. "I'm leaving now..." she realized it was her old teammate speaking.

"...ok... well I guess I'll let Naruto know you said bye. Come back sometime, For Naruto." it was the first thing she said to him the whole time and yet she was just talking about the blonde boy, why?

Well Sasuke couldn't tell you., but Kakashi sure could. He sees how the girl looks at the blond, with such hope and affection. The two remaining members waved at the broody teen/adult as he walked off, hopefully to return.

Two summary

After Sasuke left Naruto started to gain a lot of popularity, especially with the females. Some girls even came from different villages to take just one picture of him. Though his number one fangirl, Hinata, (don't get me wrong i love her, but i really didn't know what else to call her! Sorry Hinata fans.) was a little bothered by the attention he got, she was proud of him. On the other hand Narutos' teammate Haruno Saukra, was the farthest thing from jealous or bothered, she was proud of him with her whole heart.

"Remember that one time you choked on a noodle and came over to my house at two a.m. because you had a bad dream about it!!! Haha!" the one and only pink haired medic, Sakura.

"Ugg don't remind me Sakura-chan," the blond Naruto yelled at her. She just gave him a nod and turned back to the noodles, which were cooking on her stove.
