HARRY POV

When we went to get money from my parents' vault, I couldn't believe how much money there was. The Dursleys couldn't have known about this, or they'd have had it faster than blinking. How often had they complained about how much I cost them to keep? And all the time there had been a small fortune belonging to me, buried deep under London. After I piled the money into a sack, we went to vault seven hundred and thirteen. I expected more, but all I saw was a little package wrapped up in brown paper lying on the floor. Hagrid took that package and requested me not to mention it to anyone.

When we got out of the cart, someone greeted Hagrid. She was a brown-haired, blue-eyed lady who reminded me of my mum. If I still had my mum, she would be like this woman. A black-haired, green-eyed girl was with her. I thought she was that woman's daughter, but that girl's eyes attracted my attention. They were green, not like mine, but sea green—calm and relaxing. The lady and Hagrid exchanged their greetings, and when she introduced her daughter to Hagrid, she noticed me. I thought she was also like the people at the bar, going to shake hands and exchange wishes, but she wasn't like them. She did something unexpected and surprised me even more. She hugged me. I didn't even think to hug back. I just stood stunned. I don't remember when I was last hugged or ever cared for. The Dursleys never considered me a kid. For them, I was just a troubled boy, a disturbance. But this woman hugged me with love. For the first time in my life that I can remember, I was loved by someone. I didn't care that I didn't even know her name or anything about her.

But I could feel the love from this hug. I hugged back. Maybe I could find a family in this wizarding world.

After she released me, she introduced herself.

"Harry, my dear, I am Sally Black, your godmother, and this is your god sister, Laia. It's good to see you again. You have grown into a boy. When I saw you last time, you were just a baby."

I didn't know what to reply. I really wanted to know that this was not a dream. No, it's not a dream. I actually have a godmother and a sister. I couldn't help but feel happy and excited that I actually had a family, a real family. I just smiled and said, "I'm happy to have a real family."

"Of course, dear. You are our family. And happy birthday, Harry."

Oh my god, she really remembered my birthday. It's the best birthday ever.

"Oh, thank you so much," I replied.

Then Hagrid invited Sally to the Leaky Cauldron for drinks, leaving Laia and me to buy uniforms in Madam Malkin's shop. We just stared at each other for a while. Then she broke the silence.

"It's good to see you, Harry. Mum and my godfather always tell me about you and your parents—Lily this, Lily that, and James, how friendly he was, and also about you having your mum's eyes. You know, we used to play together when we were young. I don't remember anything, but I've always heard about you as my brother, not as the Boy Who Lived."

She wasn't talking like a stranger. She was talking comfortably with me. I could be sure of that. She knew more about my childhood and parents than I did. I asked her,

"It's good to see you too, Laia. Umm... can you... can you tell me about my parents?"

She stared at me like she had heard me wrong, but then she changed her expression. I think she understood me. Even I don't understand why I asked her. I don't know why I trust her this much. Yeah, it's a big deal for me to ask about my parents.

"Your mum, who was also supposed to be my godmother, Lily Evans Potter, from whom you got your eyes, was an excellent person. She excelled in her studies, was kind and friendly to everyone, and was also brave. She was my mum's best friend and always had her back. And your dad, James Potter, was a brave man who would do anything for his friends. He was the most loyal person. From what I've been told, you are more like your father physically, except for your eyes. I don't know much about life at Hogwarts since I just found out about the wizarding world yesterday when I got the Hogwarts letter, but I know one thing: your parents met each other at Hogwarts, loved each other, got married, had you, and lived happily until that stupid grandfather of mine came that night."

"Is Voldemort your grandfather?" I asked, but then regretted it when I saw her face darken with guilt.

"Yep, I'm sorry."

I could feel that she was genuinely sorry about being the dark wizard's granddaughter. I think I get it. If I were in her place, I would feel the same. If these people think very highly of me just for defeating Voldemort, she would not be encouraged for being the granddaughter of the same dark wizard. I don't know why I'm doing this, but I did it. I took her hands and said,

"Don't worry about whose granddaughter you are. You didn't do anything wrong. We are not supposed to judge people by what their parents or grandparents did. We judge people by what they have done. You said you are my sister, didn't you? Then yes, you are my sister. For me, you are not like him. From what I can see, I care about you. So please don't worry, little sis."

"You talk like an old man, little bro."

"Do I? By the way, when is your birthday?"

"August 18."

"Hey, then how can I be your little bro, little sis?"

"No idea, but you are my little bro."

"Hey."

"Deal with it, little bro."

"Whatever. Let's go shopping."

Quote: "If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals."

I don't own any characters from the Harry Potter and Percy Jackson series.
